Dr. Lara Williams, MD

Dr. Williams is an exceptional doctor. I first saw her about 13 years ago and felt heard and cared for. She is up to date in her field and she is highly skilled. I had to go to another clinic for about 10 years because of insurance reasons, and had good enough care but missed Dr. Williams phenomenal care. When I learned that she was once again in my network, I went back to see Dr. Williams. Even though it had been 10 years, Dr. Williams recognized me immediately and recalled my health history. She has my complete trust and gratitude.

Dr. Lara Williams and team are fantastic. They approach health from a holistic point of view to make sure the body is working in concert rather than against itself. Dr. Williams listens to concerns and is non-judgemental.

I have been working with Dr Williams specifically on my hashimotos. She likes to help certain patients with this disorder since it is important to her. I have been so honored and blessed to work with her. She has been such a perfect doctor to help me through my diagnosis. My thyroid labs are now perfect and everything she has suggested has helped me become more healthy. She always knows what she is talking about and never makes me feel judged.

If I had the option to rate her with zero stars, I definitely would. Throughout my second child's delivery, she overlooked or disregarded numerous pages from the Labor and Delivery department. Both my child and I were in distress, leading to an emergency C-section. As mentioned in other reviews, she tends to run late, and if you're at the end of an appointment that ran over, she'll limit your time to 5-10 minutes, yet still bills your insurance for a full 30 minutes without hesitation.

Knowledgable and responsive

When Dr. Williams first walked in the first thing she said was, "I spent the morning reviewing your chart," and I promptly started crying. She was with me for nearly an hour and was able to provide me with answers and a direction that I couldn't find for years. She is incredible. I don't understand any negative reviews. With that said, I don't care how the office runs if I actually find a doctor who listens and thinks outside the box and provides holistic solutions.

Dr. Williams and staff possess the education and experience to focus on the most intimate of women's health care and we are the healthy beneficiaries.

Dr. Williams is an exceptional physician. She knowledgeable, listens well and understands the gynecological needs of senior patients.

My visit was in Spring of 2022~ Dr. Williams is an excellent communicator, attentive, listens and responds to concerns exceedingly well. Compassionate and very forward in educational training ~current on treatment options that may not be offered or known about with some who are less interested and passionate about continuing to learn. Highly recommend. She clearly loves what she does and it is evident in her patient care. Not rushed in your time with her and I definitely left appreciating her abilities and patient care skillset.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Truly the worst practice I have ever been seen at, I don't understand how they are still in business. This office does not put the patient first. Dr. Williams is an absolute bulldog and bully, not willing to listen to the patient whatsoever. This office does not do anything that they say they will do, they go behind your back and test for things that you had opted to not want to have tested while pregnant. And just to try and reach someone on the phone it takes over 30 minutes every single time you call. I am so disgusted with the "professionals" here. Please don't waste your time or energy, ESPECIALLY while pregnant. This office caused so much stress, hassle and issues with my pregnancy. Never have I been treated in such an inappropriate and awful way.

Did not stay in Dr. Williams’ care for long but she made enough of impression on me to know she wouldn’t be delivering my baby. Runs extremely behind schedule, waited pantless on table for over 1hr. Visit was extremely rushed. Did not answer my questions but decided to cite medical studies in efforts to persuade me to make decisions she wanted. If you want someone to run the show and your medical decisions she is right for you.

Professional and thorough.

As a new patient, Dr. Williams asked all the right questions to learn about me and my health. She also answered all my health and insurance questions thoroughly. Dr. Williams was very efficient and got right down to business giving me an exam, ordering annual lab and image tests I was seeking, gave me referral options when necessary and took care of making sure there was a follow-up process in place. Within a week, I had my tests done and results are already in! Her staff was equally efficient and pleasant. I got all I needed and more and have a path to take care of my total health care needs in Portland, thanks to Dr. Williams and her staff.

Dr. Williams has been my physician for six years since arriving in Portland with a very difficult reproductive disorder case history. She has been essential to restoring my health with her interdisciplinary approach and focus on integrative medicine. I have many time sensitive, wide ranging health needs that come up each year and she is above and beyond responsive to my case, my care, and making sure I connect with her specifically where needed, and with the right members of her team where possible to delegate. She has restored my quality of life and been an integral part of supportive, creative, and complicated family planning through numerous years. She can handle complicated and she can handle the long haul. She is invested.

She just treats you with respect and more importantly Dr. Williams treats you as a person

Dr.Williams is a good listener and problem solver. She is truely one of the best medical providers I have visited. She leaves no stone unturned and has great recommendations.

I feel like Dr Williams is very sharp and informed and ready to solve problems for her patients. She's very busy and sometimes runs late, so just keep that in mind. But I'm going to be very honest: she's worth it. And I know she's just giving other folks the same high-quality care and I wouldn't want a doctor who didn't do that.

Awesome, thorough and friendly. Dr Williams thinks outside the box which is exactly what I was looking for in an OB. I’m so thankful to have found her!

I definitely recommend Dr. Williams. She is very direct, gives a lot of information (at least she did to me because I ask a lot of questions). She seems really skilled and evidence based. I was all about hypnobirthing and she helped me incorporate that realistically into my birth plan (twin pregnancy). She remembered me and always knew what was going on with me even if I had to see one of her associates due to scheduling issues. I loved having her on my team and felt well cared for.
