Dr. Mary Denman, MD

Denman only cared if I needed surgery for my prolapse, which I hadn’t even asked for. I was just assigned to her. She was uncaring, dismissive, and made fun of me for being nervous, saying I was being like Gwenyth Paltrow. She didn’t give me a diagnosis. I had to stop her from leaving and ask her what to do. She recommended “invasive and painful pelvic floor therapy,” instilling more fear in me. After seeing a therapist and other specialists, I know this was all inappropriate and meant to get me out of the room and their clinic, which is very surgery-focused. I would give zero stars if I could. Humiliating and painful.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Denman for help with pelvic organ prolapse. The whole appt was rushed, she showed very little empathy, and my concerns were made to feel insignificant. Prolapse exam wasn't done standing despite studies showing under diagnosis in the laying position. She spoke in a patronizing way and didn't ask me what kind of treatments I was interested in, and downplayed the effects of POP on my daily life. Prior to my appt, I was absolutely thrilled to meet her and have a specialist like her help me. After, I left the appt confused and like I didn't get any clear answers. She didn't want to "put labels on anything", and had to read my diagnoses from my after visit summary. Was so extremely disappointed and frustrated after seeing her. Her office was absolutely a "factory line" and all she cared about was getting in and out of the exam room.

She performed a procedure for me in a very timely fashion and is a really nice doctor to work with. I am very happy with the results!

Dr. Denman was easy to talk to and easy to understand when explaining medical procedures. She was thoughtful and thorough. She also has an award-winning sense of humor. Her follow-up visit after surgery was important to me. I am very grateful for who she is as a person, and, of course, her skills as a top-flight surgeon. I think she’s wonderful.

Dr. Denman and her team are very informative, friendly, and responsive. I really like her and would not hesitate to recommend her.

Dr Denman has such a great manner leaving you feeling totally comfortable in asking the questions you want answered. I appreciated the extra care and thought in how best to approach my surgery to make my the recovery the best for my career. Thank you so much!

I was very impressed with Dr. Denman and her staff. I was given all the details verbally and in writing of what to expect from my surgery and the recovery period. All my questions were answered and I was encouraged to call if I had further questions. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Denman.

Dr. Denman is efficient, well educated and relaxed. Make sure to write down all your questions and concerns before your appointment, she will easily run down them and answer. Surgery was well organized and was masterfully orchestrated with her staff.

Dr. Denman is everything I could have asked for in a surgeon. She explained my options clearly and respected the treatment choice I made. She exhibited compassion and appropriate good humor in all of our interactions. At almost 74, I sincerely hope I'm done with surgeries, but if I'm not, I wouldn't hesitate to entrust my care to her.

It was a pretty smooth process. Although I do not urinate the same as I used to. A lot slower of a spread and it takes forever to completely finish. Stops for a few seconds then starts again. Annoying but way better then just randomly urinating

Very professional yet personal and very sensitive to my concerns. Very thorough with instructions, what to expect from the procedure and constantly checking with me to make sure everything was going the way it was suppose to go before and after my procedure.

Because of Covid-19 my initial meeting was a tele visit. Dr. Denman easily explained my condition and my treatment options; she showed me diagrams on the phone screen to help and sent me an email while we were on the phone that contained the information. Dr. Denman is a professional, knowledgeable and compassionate surgeon, she was even waiting for me outside the operating room. I cannot say enough nice things about her staff - they are efficient, responsive to calls and very friendly. In this unusual time, she put me at ease - I highly recommend Dr. Denman!!

I was really scared to have surgery. Dr. Denman explained every detail about the surgery, she is very friendly.

Dr. Denman made me feel comfortable and listened to me from the moment she walked in the room. She explained my options (both surgical and other options) in as much detail as I wanted and in a caring manner that made me feel confident in my decision to opt for a surgical resolution.

I was in pain on a weekend and they got me in on Monday to see a nurse practitioner to help me. It went well so I could wait for my next appointment.
