Horrible experience with this provider. I love the other providers in this clinic which is such a bummer. My normal OB was out of town so I saw him instead. He rushed through looking at my chart, had no clue my medical history (made a lot of assumptions) and because I was overweight he spent the entire 30 min visit essentially fat shaming me even though I had been working on losing weight (and lost weight) before getting pregnant. My husband was in the room too and was absolutely shocked that this is what the exciting 1st pregnant visit turned into this. I absolutely refuse care from him.

Listens to you, is caring and kind
Really listens to you, which makes such a huge difference. He is very knowledgeable and also makes you feel more confident as a new parent. I went into my first visit incredibly nervous and by the end we were all laughing. I can’t even describe how lucky we feel to have found dr DeCastro!

Horrible! He was great at the beginning of the appointment and left the room for a bit. When he came back he practically rushed me out and said nothing was wrong with me when I was having chronic intermittent pain. No explanation whatsoever. He told me to stop taking iron supplements that I was told to take by another physician, telling me I did not need them. Later, I ended up iron deficient which caused alot of problems because he told me to stop taking them. Maybe he should work on his communication skills. I'm not sure why I was rushed out. Maybe if he would have shared what he was thinking I would not have been put in my current situation of more health issues. I'm still working on getting my pain issued resolved along with my iron deficiency.

Ive been seeing Dr. DeCastro for about 7 months. He's fairly nice, but is ROUTINELY late and seems to disregard our appts. In most cases I'm waiting in the waiting room 10-20 minutes before I'm called back by his unfriendly assistant. THEN, when I get to the Dr. room, I'm waiting another 20-45 minutes for him to come into the room!! There is never an apology or even an acknowledgement which makes me feel like he doesn't even care. Also, each time I see him it's like the first time we've met.
