Extremely dissapointed
Dr. Meyerson is excellent, but the office staff needs improvement. The staff would benefit from showing more empathy and better accommodating patients' individual needs and concerns

Terrible practice
Run away from this practice!!!! I guarantee you will be greatly overcharged and it we be a terrible experience. Dr. Meyerson was actually great, helpful and knew what he was talking about. His office staff on the other hand can only be described as “scammers”. I had many conversations in great detail about what I would pay for the procedure and the pre-op appointment. Somehow they forgot to tell me that the post op appointment (which last 90 seconds with no exaggeration) would be another $350. THEN I get another bill in the mail for 450 dollars and another for $99. They then mentioned that it was a mistake but I still own $78. They are making up numbers and lying as they go. As I was sitting in the waiting room while my daughter had the procedure I heard a woman yelling tv the staff about a similar situation. Just find another doctor!!!!

The worst physician experience I've ever had.
My visit with Dr. Meyerson was 10 years ago, so it seems nothing has changed. He was incredibly short and rude. I have struggled with sinus issues for many years to the point of my sinuses swelling so much that I can barely pass air through them, I often have the feeling of fluid in my ears, pressure, discomfort and more. When I explained all of this Dr. Meyerson, he brushed off my symptoms, made me feel like I was imagining issues and told me that 'no one can breathe when lying down', after I explained feeling like I can't breathe while trying to sleep. He performed his exam hastily and carelessly and sent me on my way with a script for 2 nasal sprays which did absolutely nothing to help my symptoms. I've suffered for years since that appointment thinking no one and nothing will ever help my symptoms until I recently saw a fantastic ENT who properly diagnosed me and changed my life.

I saw a nurse practitioner for dizziness. She was not able to help me. They had me see an audiologist, and Dr. Meyerson wanted to do steroid injections into my inner ear canal and have an MRI of my auditory canal, both because of hearing loss. I did not go to the office for that. I went for dizziness. I did not do either. I then got a letter from him, stating that he will no longer be able to provide my medical care because of my noncompliance!I have never heard of a doctor doing that! I never even saw the man. And I certainly wouldn’t now. I am a well informed articulate woman and I’m able to make decisions regarding my medical care once I have all the facts. My husband saw him several years ago and he also wanted to do some extensive procedure on him, which my husband declined. This man is out for money with no compassion for people that come to him, seeking medical care.

Horrible experience hope I can help someone else
I went in as new patient to see the nurse practicioner for minor throat irritation, as the doctor was not available. Put scope down throat, she said looks like GERD, but sending you for a Catscan, do not be surprised if you get called in for a biopsy. Right then my alarms went off. Put it off a few months, was feeling better but scheduled catscan to be sure. Got a call the next day, at 6pm the day before Memorial Day weekend that I needed a biopsy. Ruined my weekend. The office hounded me for 3 weeks, telling me this was VERY SERIOUS - possible cancer - and I needed to schedule the biopsy with the doctor I had never met or talked to. Oh, and he only does them one day a month. I decided to go for a second opinion with a specialist ENT. GUESS WHAT? No biopsy needed at all. It is a scam, my new doc said they get new patients with the same exact story from this office all the time,

AN EXEMPLARY EXPERIENCE
The Florida Medical Clinic Otolaryngology (ENT) Department is an exceptionally well-managed, well organized and observably dedicated medical provider. Dr. Meyerson is superbly skilled, noticeably courteous and sincerely interested in the wellbeing of his patients. His calming manners and respectful patience are genuine and deeply comforting. It is quite obvious that his leadership sets a shining example for his staff, as they strive to offer and maintain the highest standard of care my wife and I have experienced in quite a long time. I strongly recommend this highly competent medical practice.

Great office!
So grateful I found this office. I had been to another ENT who had rude staff and the Dr said I needed to go to the hospital for surgery. A friend of mine mentioned Dr. Meyerson's office and had a great experience so I figured it was worth a shot. What a different experience! Not only was the staff helpful but they went out of their way to minimize the number of visits in the office, even calling to review my CT results over the phone instead of making me wait for an appointment and pay yet another copay. I was able to have my procedure in the office instead of spending all day and more money at the hospital. After a few visits I was done and feeling so much improvement with no more sinus infections. Dr. Meyerson was professional and answered all my questions. I met with his ARNPs Brittany and Heather for my pre-op appointment and follow-up visits, they were both amazing and took extra time to explain the next steps. All the staff were great and I've already referred my mom here!

Facts related to my experience with Dr. Lance Meyerson: 1st appt endoscopy by ARNP, discussion of treatment methods, scheduling of CT scan. Received call from scheduling to set up balloon procedure. No consultation with doctor for review of CT. I questioned the process, told there was no need for a consultation. 2nd appt-pre-op. ARNP gave pre-op instructions. Did not meet the doctor nor was the CT scan reviewed. 3rd appt- procedure. Met Dr. Meyerson. He begins procedure but I am in pain, and he is notably agitated, stating that I am the 1 in 500 cases that this does not work for because I have too much "hard bone" and ends procedure. Actual review of CT could have avoided all of this. Based on EOB I discovered that I have a credit and have spent 4 months trying to get back almost 2k. They continue to submit claims to insurance and get denied because insurance has paid. The last claim had a dx code that is not my diagnosis. This is a surgery mill with questionable billing practices.

Agree with the negative reviews posted here. Dr Meyerson did not take time to check my sinus/face, he rushed the visit, didn't say i have nasal inflammation only until i presented to him at the end of the visit a nasal drop from a lung doctor had prescribed and he was very rude, treated me in an passive aggressive way. Hope clinics can hire more people person, informative to patients and caring doctors not doctors that act like robots.

I saw Dr. Meyerson a few years ago because I had lost my sense of smell. I had the same bad experience as others on this review site. While I was waiting, you could feel the tension in the air. The staff was slamming doors and seem agitated. Dr. Meyerson asked me several rapid-fire questions. When asked if my doctor had prescribed any medications for my sinuses, I had to think and I told him maybe he prescribed something for (I named something). He then said, "I didn't ask you if he prescribed . . . ." I guess that was the wrong answer. He was just really rude.

I never got to see Dr. Meyerson in person neither we spoke over the phone which is really unprofessional to me, Someone else took care of me, she was really nice I can’t really remember her name at the moment, long story short she was supposed to schedule an Appt. with Dr. Meyerson and she told me she was going to call me that same afternoon with the details, Well she never did, so I called next day and the receptionist told me that as per Dr. Meyerson NOTES He will recommend me to go to USF with a another ENT specialist to get a better check up of the issues I was having! First of all NO ONE never called me to let me know about the Dr. decision, 2nd. It seems to me that Dr. Meyerson was too busy and he just didn’t had time to take care of me and he just trash me and send me with another specialist ! At the end I did what I was told because unfortunately as a patient we are the ones struggling, still waiting for their call to see what’s next bc at USF they Did nothing for me either!

Dr. Meyerson told me that my sons tissue in his throat looked like cancer and it scared me senseless. As a mother, I was unable to work for 3 days afterwards because I was so distraught. We proceeded with a very expensive biopsy that didn't show anything and Dr. Meyerson simply looked at me and said he didnt know what he say that day when he told me it looked like cancer. I feel like he scammed me for money. I had to pay $1800 out of pocket for the biopsy that wasn't needed.

Dr. Meyerson recommended I have ‘Balloon Sinuplasty’. He explained it would open up my sinuses, which were small and prone to infections. I went in and had the surgery performed in office without general anesthesia. The experience was odd and somewhat uncomfortable. I knew however, I was in good care from start to finish. When they finished, they saw me off without any complications. I now can breathe easier and sleep better, having the energy and the ability to do more and go farther! Thank you
