Tricky condition
So I was the lucky lottery winner of avascular necrosis. Not typical, but a couple of bones in my wrist joint collapsed, requiring total wrist fusion. The diagnosis process was good, and Dr Dickson took plenty of time explaining to me, in , condition. Only real option for long term relief was surgery. Both he and his assistant took the time to walk me through what was going to happen and what to expect. Surgery was here at the surgical center and went well. It's been 3 months, and the healing is going as well as it can be. He and his staff have been nothing but professional to me, and I'm thankful they were there for me throughout the process. I highly recommend him and his staff. Do not be afraid to see him and ask questions.

Worst "doctor" EVER!
This was my first visit and it was the worst visit EVER! He's RUDE! He has NO BEDSIDE MANNER or even decent human being manners! POMPOUS and ARROGANT don't begin to describe him. There are no words for this visit except annoyance, frustration and disgust. If Nancy Reagan taught us anything, it's to "JUST SAY NO".

He has anger problems. He must be under a lot of stress because he can not handle what you have to say. He feels threatened and he responds angry when you tell him your opinion. He literally walked away during consultation and I was left speechless and without any answers.

I never got to meet Dr Dickson for my appointment. This was the second time going through bait-and-switch with OA. Make an appointment with a doctor, but you only get to see a PA. I would be good if that’s what I booked both times, but I actually thought I would see a doctor.

Visit and therapy was fine. Got billed for a can do band pack after I was with therapy. They don't bill insurance and I already had one but was never asked if I needed it or If I was going to have to pay put of pocket for it. I surely didn't need it and was their mistake that they did not ask for payment when I was there so I could have refused. Now they are billing me for something I don't need two of.

Dr Dickson performed a carpal tunnel release for me. He and his staff were at all times inquiring as to any questions and concerns that I may have had, and thoroughly prepared me as to what I could expect in what time frame. His relaxed demeanor help me to relax as well. He updated my family member immediately after the procedure.

Since Dr. Dickson has a major ownership interest in the Surgery Center upstairs, his typical recommendation is to conduct surgery. Didn't show me my X-ray, wasn't interested in my fall, didn't recommend a 2nd opinion. Shame on me for not getting one. While the pain in my thumb joint is gone, there are a host of permanent side effects that make me wonder if surgery was worth it. Get a 2nd opinion.

Dr. Dickson has the worst bedside manners and I wish I would have listened when others told me not to let him touch my hands! There are a lot of good surgeons and he is not one of them.

Dr Dickson and his staff are "top shelf". Had appt to assess condition. I appreciated his directness and informative consultation, both pros and cons. Surgery followed and I cannot say enough positive about how I was treated by his surgical staff at the surgery center. Dr Dickson takes care of business and everything has gone just as he said so far. Still in recovery, so far so good!

Made appointment to see Dr. Dickson - an orthopedic surgeon. Showed up for appt, and instead of having him see me, they plugged me with his full-time partner, a physician's assistant (not even an MD). If I wanted to see a physician's assistant, I would have gone to my regular clinic. Instead, I expected to see an expert with experience for my hand injury. I did not appreciate the "bait and switch" tactic.

I was able see Dr Dickson PA in a few days from my first call for appointment. This was for a new issue, but, repeat visit to this office. I use them for all my physical injuries I have experience over the last 10 or more years.
