An Effective Medical Team
I have had a very good experience with Dr. Zagar. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I value her abilities as my physician for diagnosis and treatment. I have found her to be engaging, open to any questions and inquiries, and very patient with my on-line knowledge of my condition. Also, the med assistant, office staff, imaging and PT techs, all have been very helpful and engaging. I recommend anyone with symptoms or conditions requiring a Rheumatologist to consider Dr. Zagar.

Abysmal Experience
Abysmal experience. I was referred to Dr. Zagar for complex rheumatological concerns and I found Dr. Karen Zagar to be extremely rude, condescending, arrogant and dismissive. A very cold, judgmental and uncaring clinician, who's ability as a physician I do not trust. The practice is also run poorly. It’s frustrating to have to battle ignorance as well as a difficult disease. Spends her time entering history on laptop computer rather then trying to interact or have a dialogue with her patients. Seems to be annoyed by your questions or she answers sarcastically. Truly appalling. Find a physician to manage your care who cares about you as a person, who believes you and respects your knowledge of your body’s needs. This should be mandatory for a rheumatologist who is caring for high-needs patients with disabilities and chronic illness. Your doctor should be the last person to gaslight you about what you’re experiencing. And if you’re not getting the care you need? Fire your doctor.

When Dr. Murali left, Dr. Zagar became my physician - right at the start of CoVid! We did not have to do telemedicine, as we were both masked and showed no symptoms of CoVid. I needed the in person visit, and she and her PA were willing to see me in the office. Her attention to me & my osteoporosis has been outstanding. Her staff are as professional, attentive, and caring as she is. Check in and out has been and is quick and easy, with pleasant & professional staff. When I have received my shots, for osteoporosis, my nurse was and continues to be as wonderful as the rest of the staff and physicians here. I'm fortunate to work with such incomparable caregivers.

Horrible experience. I was there for connective tissues disease issues and somehow after going over my history , she mentioned how many abortions I had in my past in a very very derogatory way. Totally inappropriate and hurtful. Had nothing to do with my visit, but somehow she felt compelled to bring that up

Dr Zagar and staff are awesome! She really cares and listens. Her staff is always nice, friendly and caring too! Dr Zagar listens to her patients and truly wants to get you on the right treatment. She is very knowledgeable and also has a great sense of humor. She got me diagnosed right away after years of misery with my arthritis. I have three types of arthritis that no one else diagnosed. She is fantastic! I highly recommend her!

Dr. Zagar is one of the rudest, condescending and unhelpful physicians I have ever encountered. She doesn’t want to hear whatyour concerns are, corrects you if you say a medical term wrong abruptly. I went to her when signs of RA first started. She took xrays of hands and feet (which were normal) but then wanted an in office MRI, which without informing me would have cost $600 out of pocket after ins. Had no advice or plan, just gave me a steroid, then said, “It will make you fat”. Dreadful!

One of the finest Rheumatologists I have ever met. She really cares about her patients and her staff reflects this attitude. I drive 45 minutes plus to see her and she does NOT accept my insurance but I STILL go back because she impresses me so much. Oh, I almost forgot, she really know her medicine.
