Waste of time and money
Unfortunately Dr. Scarcella's bedside manner is lacking. My poor mom, 79 years old, went for severe knee pain literally almost a month into her pain and she explained to him the medication the ER gave her and he told her she wasn't getting any more pain meds from him. Low and behold two months after her injury, she finally had an MRI ordered from another doctor and it showed she had an insufficient fracture and torn meniscus. The amount of money she has to pay for this one visit and was told the X-rays were done wrong! I do not like to give negative reviews, but only come here for minor injuries.

I was invisible
Arrogant and non-listening. He didn’t address my questions because he “wasn’t going to tell me what I wanted to hear”, and would not discuss alternative treatments. Rude in that he kept cutting me off when spoke and dismissed specific concerns I had without an explanation. There was nothing remotely close to health CARE during the rushed appointment. I should charge him for the appointment because he wasted my time.

Horrible attitude right from the start. I needed him to pick up where my previous Doc had left off ( relocated ). I have a 1 yr old healing shoulder injury that is acting up. This Dr. Is very aggressive ,does not listen, cuts you off mid sentence and rushes through any minimal explanation he offers. He referred to my sports medicine Dr. as "oh, that guy" and stated he completely disagrees with his diagnosis AND treatment thus far...he went as far as to say my Dr. Could not have injected a particular region of my shoulder in an exam room setting...yet i watched and felt it happen on ultrasound. Which of course this Dr. said could not be imaged on ultrasound.... ughhhhh.! This guy just knows it all! I am never going back. Beware of this guy.

I will agree with some of the comments I have read. I have seen Dr. Scarcella and have wondered if he was looking at my chart or someone else's because it didn't seem like it was mine. He rushes....hurries through any explanation. I realize he knows what he's saying but for the patient it's hard to understand when you're talking so fast and cuts you off if you're talking assuming he knows what you're gonna say. His PA is the same, cuts you off midstream of a sentence, must be something about that office. Dr. and PA both not listening and hearing what you're saying. I am looking for another Dr. for I know I will have to have knee replacements in a few years (bad knees run in the family and I've got my issues). I would go right now but am in the middle of healing from surgery and most Dr.'s don't like to pick up where one leaves off. Praying for complete healing from my meniscus surgery so I may cut this office loose!

I was referred to this doctor by my GP—a referral I didn’t ask for—because they suspected I had carpal tunnel. Dr. Scarcella was aggressive, cut me off in my answers to his questions, and when I tried to explain my symptoms he arrogantly asked me what I wanted him to order so he “didn’t have to talk over me”. I was completely flabbergasted and appalled. I work IN medicine, and I would not recommend this physician to anyone if his bedside manner is regularly this atrocious.

This was a surreal experience. I wasn’t there seeking surgery or thinking I needed it. I was referred - a referral I did not ask for - due to an issue on an X-ray. It was the referring doctor’s call. But Dr. Scarcella was arrogant and I’d even say, combative in an aggressive manner. He asked questions that made me wonder if he had my chart before him, or someone else’s. Apparently, I must conclude, this is just another one of those surgeons with a God complex, the kind we’ve all heard about. If he’s a very good doctor, under all his huffing self-importance, I will never know. He’s the last doctor I’d ever choose on my own to see.

Worst doctor I ever went to. I have stage 4 Lipedema. It is a condition that causes weigh gain in my arms and legs. I CAN NOT control it. I have extremely bad leg pain. I was sent to him by my GP and my Lipedema specialist. He walked into the room, took one look at my legs, rolled his eyes and crossed his arms and it was done. My whole 10-minute face to face consisted of him telling me there was nothing he could do for me because I was morbidly obese but bypass surgery. I had validated paperwork
