Had both knees replaced- could not be happier
From the initial visit to the preop class then the preop visit to the actual surgery the group performed seamlessly, were very professional , and the experience was terrific which is generally not a word I’d use often about medical encounters which can be scary. I feel incredibly lucky to have met and been treated by Dr McCallum and his team

I had my left knee replaced 3 months ago and consider it a positive experience. I have returned to all my previous activities, except tennis! And I will be back at my tennis game soon! The office staff, in patient staff, and home care staff, all worked flawlessly together to provide the finest care imaginable. Great job, Dr. McCallum! Thank you!

Very thorough, professional
From the initial examination and diagnosis through post operative visits, Dr. McCallum was very thorough. There was a considerable amount of both pre-op and post-op communications requiring some films to watch, short readings, in-person conferences, etc. Every conceivable detail was addressed. I followed instructions and it paid off. I had minimal post-operative pain from my knee replacement surgery and have had steady progress in my recovery. Compared to others I have seen, the scar from surgery is minimal. I have and would recommend Dr. McCallum to anyone considering knee replacement surgery.

a technician, not a doctor
I had 3 surgeries with Dr. McCallum. I am still recovering from the last surgery which was 3 years ago. It was a horrible experience. Although I did not want to throw Dr. M under the bus, people need to know how unresponsive he was. I had nerve damage and could not tolerate any material on my skin. The symptoms were similar to shingles. I also did not respond well to the drugs. He refused to take my calls. I finally wrote him a letter. No response. My right leg is sizably larger than my left leg. Although I have been through a lot of PT. I would not recommend him as a doctor or healer. He is unresponsive. His staff did not even submit the paperwork and I had to wait in the hospital while they contacted the insurance co. He took no responsibility.

Total left knee replacement
From the first contact with Dr McCALLUM , to the surgery , the recovery and the final visit no more than 10 weeks in total and every step has been of very high quality with Dr McCALLUM himself and his extended team. Dr McCALLUM is a great listener and was very patient with my various questions so we could decide right away the best course for me. I sincerely appreciated his professionalism and the resulting surgery!

Mr. Wonderful
I'm an 89 year old with bilateral bone on bone arthritis taking care of my seriously ill wife for more than a decade. Facing an impending inability to walk and no longer care for my wife, a friend referred me to Dr. MacCallum. Doc instilled confidence is me that he could do this part to get me back to my baseline level of activity if I committed to pre and post physical therapy. My result for the first knee replacement: after 8 weeks I have zero knee pain. Absolutely no discomfort or limitations. It's simply amazing. Our family refers to Dr MacCallum as Mr Wonderful. I am very much looking forward to my second knee replacement in a few weeks. Yes, the first few weeks are uncomfortable, but I'm soon to have my life back fully and return to more engaged care of my spouse. Forever grateful to Mr Wonderful.
