Dr. Jennifer Reichel, MD

Dr Reichel cancelled my appointment 3 times with little or no notice. 3 times I showed up to the appointment, only to be told once I got there that she cancelled because she’s not in. They said each time that they left a voicemail, the first 2 times they did the day before the appointment and I didn’t see it. So ok, my fault for not checking my voicemails right before leaving the house. So I rescheduled, and each time the new appointment was another 2 months in the future, with no option to squeeze me in sooner given that they were the ones who cancelled on me with one day notice. The 3rd time though there was no voicemail, and I received a confirmation text message at 6:50 pm the day before my 9:20 am appointment. They asked if I wanted to reschedule for a 4th appointment, again 2 months later. No thanks, I’m done.

I'm a physician and I had been looking forward to my appointment with Dr. Reichel as it is very difficult to get an appointment with her. I was very disappointed that she 1) did not show did not show any interest talking to me about my goals for the appointment. Understanding a patient's goal is always important, but especially important with regard to cosmetic procedures. 2) was in the room for a total of 60 seconds (maybe less) 3) As a physician I understand what it is like to have a busy clinic, but I have never been treated this way by another provider. 4)I changed my appointment time at her request the day before the appointment to better accommodate her schedule which made the interaction with her even more jarring 5) Her medical assistant was good at her job and kind, but she was the only one who talked to me at the appointment with regard to a plan for the appointment.

I saw Reichel for Mohls surgery- a total mess. The first pass she hit a nerve and lidocaine did nothing for the pain. It then had to be cauterized while I waited for lab results in pain- twice more there was cancer and twice more it was cauterized while I could feel everything (think root canal with no pain meds) - For almost 4 hours this went on- by the last of it I was shaking and very light headed- this 'simple' procedure turned into the stuff of nightmares. I had to call my partner to come and get me- by the time I got to the car I was shaking uncontrollably. The doctor then 'forgot' to call in the pain meds- took another 2 hours to get anything. 3 days later, I'm still in pain, I'm outta meds I call asking for some lidocaine cream, oxy etc- got told take some otc pain meds - I had to seek care from another doctor who right away saw I was totally messed up. It continues including an arrogant rude call from her after I sent a follow up letter- but limited space here. Just AVOID

Dr.Reichel and her nurse Amy were so warm and informative. I felt so comfortable having them spruce me up. This will be the place I will come for all my skin care needs.

Always very professional and involved with keeping me (patient) informed of what is going on what to expect.

I've had Mohs surgery with Dr. Reichel. She's excellent. Quick, informative and great follow up. Much less stressful than I expected. I'd recommend her to all friends and family.

Dr Reichel and her staff were very attentive and professional. I would highly recommend them!

HORRIBLE OUTCOME – STAY AWAY! Dr. Reichel promised me no risk of a negative outcome and she was wrong. I looked far worse after her CO2 treatment than before and have to live with her failed results every day. It makes me wonder if she has ever done some of these procedures before. If you are looking for cosmetic procedures, look elsewhere. Dr. Reichel and Pacific Dermatology will change your life for the worse.
