Dr Rhim has completely earned my trust. He has been non judgemental, and thorough, even though I know he deals with so many people. He is clear, respectful, and has restored some of my faith in doctors. I really appreciate him and his staff so much.

Dr. Rhim, though I was scheduled for checking lesions on my face, suggested that I have a whole body check because it had been a year since my last visit. I appreciated his suggestion that involved finding an additional spot of which I was unaware.

Rude, rushed, and not reassured
I scheduled the appointment though the VM patient portal. I arrived on-time and chatted with the friendly staff but they had some issue and didn't have all my info in the system. So I filled out some forms and waited patiently. An hour later, a doctor Edwin Y. Rhim opened a door and called my name and said 'oh you're here'. After taking me back to the room, he examined me with a flashlight for less than 3 minutes and said everything was fine. He then explained the ABCDEs of melanoma basically regurgitating line by line the pamphlet I read in the lobby. I started asking something and he said he didn't have time and that I should have arrived earlier if I wanted to ask more questions. I asked why he thought I was late when I had been waiting for almost an hour? He gave me a puzzled look and left.Couple days later my official report was added to my VM chart and included the phrase 'who comes in about an hour late for his appointment today...'Billed out to insurance at ~$360.
