I spoke with Dr. Bontreger on the phone twice...very nice, caring doctor, however, I never actually got into the office. After chasing her staff with a few phone calls and scheduling a month out, the front office clerk made it too frustrating to keep my appointment. Dr Bontreger mentioned that she had a lot of psych patients with covid...I'm thinking it has more to do with her deliberately difficult front office staff.

Dr. Bontreger has been my PCP for almost 3 years now and she’s wonderful. Her office is always clean and the staff are polite and knowledgeable. I would recommend Dr. Bontreger to anyone looking for a doctor. She’s very polite and very smart and I know that she always has my best interest at heart.

Dr Bontreger was wonderful, she is very thorough; listens and asks questions. The office staff was very pleasant and proficient. Their attention to keeping their supplies and office clean during this pandemic is evident and much appreciated. I would recommend her highly to family/friends!

Went in for sports injury that I wanted to get checked out. Staff seems disorganized and didn’t have an updated schedule showing my appt so when I arrived they didn’t know about my appt. They finally managed to figure out their schedule in the system and got me checked in after 15 minutes of waiting. To make it even worse, the doctor was very late. Wasted a few hours of my day. Won’t be back.

I am so happy Dr. Bontreger is my primary care physician. She always takes her time going over my issues and concerns. Her bedside manner is the best I have ever experienced. She is on top of all the current literature and I highly recommend her. Her staff is wonderful as well.

Every visit I'm warmly greeted by a professional staff and they assist with reviewing medications and any new healthcare history.
Dr. Bontreger is great! She takes her time to listen and educate me regarding my care plan. Dr. Bontreger and her staff are prompt with returning phone calls and addressing issues. She's the best Primary Care Physician. Thank you Dr. Bontreger and staff.

My wife and I changed doctors about 5 years ago. I did my research and we wanted an internist, and we are so pleased we selected Dr. Bontreger. She is without doubt one of the best doctors I have ever had. She is passionate about the care she provides to her patients. Her bed side manner is also the best! She answers all my questions and never makes me feel rushed. Her staff is awesome as well!

The staff and environment at Southern Horizon Healthcare is exceptional. Dr. Bontreger is friendly and professional and really cares about her patients. You never feel rushed out of the office and she’s always very prompt. Dr. Bontreger is very knowledgeable and listens intently. I drive all the way from Fort Worth to see her and am so glad I have been a patient here the last 5 years.

I have been to numerous doctors with headaches. I have a cache full of pills. I started seeing Dr Bontregor and she pursued my history and had an MRI performed. My headaches were attributed to my previous neck injuries and the Orthopedic surgeon scheduled surgery immediately.
She is great with my family and several friends I have referred. She spends time with you to get your history for your condition and will often call you herself with labs. My family loves her!

STAY AWAY!!! STAY AWAY!!! WORST staff ever!!! UNFRIENDLY, unprofessional. I had an appointment scheduled for weeks in advance. I got there ON TIME with paperwork finished with DL and insurance card attached. We have full benefits and are payed up for the year. The new office staff couldn't verify with my blue cross/blue shield insurance. After 20 minutes they told me the dr wants to reschedule because it's taking too long. I drive 45 minutes. What kind of Dr would do this? BAD
