I was referred to Dr. Lawitz when my lab work showed very elevated liver enzymes. Dr. Lawitz and his staff were great! His entire staff, from the parking lot attendant, the front desk, the lab techs and his nursing staff were cheerful, eager to help and very friendly. Dr. Lawitz explained everything to me and spent a great deal of time making sure that I understood upcoming tests. He has a great sense of humor and really put me at ease. I would highly recommend Dr. Lawitz and his staff if you have any liver issues.

A true life saver
I was among the first to be cured of hepatitis C by Dr. Lawitz's innovative protocol. I can say in all sincerity that he literally saved my life. His clinic is an efficient, professionally run operation. I rarely have to wait more than five minutes for my appointment, unlike most doctor's offices, and his entire staff is friendly and welcoming. I can't recommend Dr. Lawitz and the Texas Liver Institute highly enough.

Dr. Lawitz is very personable and took his time with me explaining my scan results and plan of action for treatment. He took his time and answered our questions and made us feel more at ease. I highly recommend him and his office staff. The whole experience was time well spent and I left feeling reassured that I am in good care.

When I arrived for my liver biopsy, I was quite afraid and unsure if I wanted to go through with the procedure. When it came time to sign the authorization forms, I became very stressed out and asked to speak with Dr. Lawitz. The Doctor came down and sat with me for awhile. He explained everything to me, he had a great bed side manor. After speaking with him, I decided to go through with the biopsy. Dr. Lawitz did the biopsy fast and I felt no pain. He was great. Also, my nurse, Maria, was the best! She was very kind, very attentive to all my needs before and after the biopsy! Thank you Maria, job well done! I would also like to send a special Thank You to PA Teresa Castillo! She took care of all my needs and concerns. She made me feel safe and cared for and she always returned my calls. She is awesome!

Excellent doctor who explains things. His staff is the same as they take their time. I like that I can get labs and ultrasounds at the same location. Great place.

I just celebrated my 1st year of being cancer free with Her2 positive breast cancer. My liver enzymes test were coming back high as well as my liver iron levels. I was referred to Dr. Lawitz after a MRI and several other done by my oncologist and gastroenterologist. Dr Lawitz was rude and unconcerned in my case.Dr Lawitz didn't even examine me! I sat in a chair while he typed in my file. When he asked if I can any questions I asked him what's causing my symptoms he replied not your liver.

*this is continuation from earlier post..... Another point, its a fact that there are many nice charming doctors that hold your hand and have warm bedside manners. They do their best, But alot of the best physicians, (physicians that other doctors see) might not have that warm bedside manner, but could be above the rest in brillance and analyzation. they are compassionate with their patients even if they dont seem like it. Lydia. Thats Dr Lawitz!!

I was cured of Hepatitis C after years of Interferon treatment. What an immense blessing it is to be free of the virus and feeling much better with normal liver enzymes. Dr. Lawitz is an incredible Doctor and his staff are all amazing as well. Thanks, John Lyons
