Dr. Alejandro Pruitt, MD

Had a colonoscopy set up with Dr Pruitt. They treat you well when you get there. You can tell they have their system set up like an assembly line to get people in and out. Very efficient. Dr Pruitt went through the process with me and let me ask questions. Very friendly. I highly recommend.

Wasn’t aware I had to pay until I got there. My insurance was supposed to cover the expenses. Would not have been a problem if I were notified be I took the meds and showed up on their doorstep. At that point, there was no turning back for me. No one called me. Very humiliating experience.

I had previously had a combination Endoscopy and Colonoscopy procedure with Dr Pruitt and his staff. Everything from the initial prep thru the procedure went well. The entire staff was professional and well organized. Dr Pruitt was great and he made sure to meet with me before being released to discuss his findings. A couple of months later I was experiencing throat pain so I reached out to Dr Pruitt and he found time on his calendar to meet with me. His staff called me and set up the initial Appt. I ended up needing another endoscopy and was diagnosed with a throat infection by Dr Pruitt. He prescribed some medication and I was feeling a lot better after a couple of days. Once again, Dr Pruitt and staff were professional, well organized, and I was treated with great care. I highly recommend Dr Pruitt, his staff, and the facility in which my procedures were performed.

Dr. Pruitt performed endoscopic procedures on my daughter before and after surgery. She just loves him and he made her feel well taken care of and helped her heal quickly. Though I never got to meet him, I could tell she was totally assured of his skill and expertise. We want to thank him so much for making time to do her second procedure this week while in Methodist and helping her recover sooner.

Dr.Pruitt has been my doctor for several years and I have always felt that he cares about my health. I tell people he is the best, helped me though my diverticulitis misery.

Dr. Pruitt and staff, Thank you for making me feel special and taking care of me. I was stressed about the whole procedure and its preparation. What I had to drink was not as bad as some people said it was.* The nurses were adorable and made me feel at ease. The doctors were awesome! The procedure was quick and painless. I left with a copy of the results after Dr. Pruitt talked to me a second time. After postponing this procedure for a while... I am so happy I checked that off my to-do list!!! (*Next time, I will take the medicine with soda water, it would taste like the energy drinks my kids buy at the gas station!!!)

I came for a procedure. Got it very quickly. Was prepped for the procedure very quickly. Really no wait time at all. Dr. Pruit spoke with me & my spouse right after the procedure to explain what he found & what action we should take. I was in & out very quickly.

Parking is a little confusing but all a good experience for a doctor visit

I recently had my 3rd routine colonoscopy at Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio. Dr Pruitt performed all three. The entire experience was as professional, well organized and pleasant as it could be. All employees were pleasant, caring and very competent. Dr Pruitt was caring and took as much time to answer questions as he needed. Overall, the experience was excellent. Will use Dr Pruitt and Gastroenterology Consultants in the future.
