Dr. Stroh
By any metric, this is an excellent ophthalmology office. The physicians credentials are better than local peers, and the general run of the mill credentials of many local providers of various specialties, the office is run in the manner of an old fashioned friendly private practice, the physician is actively engaged in the patient's welfare, and the treatment is provided in an atmosphere of transparency and education.

excellent.. had an eye issue.... needed laser surgery.... was done successfully and professionally in Dr. Strohs office. Everything went exactly as discussed prior to the surgery. Dr Stroh personally followed up after the surgery and I have been going for the recommended follow up office visits. Very professional and highly recommended.

The doctor saw me when I had an emergency retina detachment that failed another doctors surgery. Dr Stroh took his time with me and was kind and explained my problem thoroughly in a down to earth way so I understood it, unlike the original retina specialists in a large office. He reviewed the different treatment options and I was very satisfied. He performed surgery, and was very accommodating and explained things to me many times as I needed. My vision was restored and I can see again. I recommend him highly.

This Doctor is the worst I ever known, I went to him for a second opinion, I had a Retina reattachment done by another Dr. and my vision was blurry, and said to me that the surgery was not done properly that he can fixed it, Well I trusted him, and he did a "repair" and inserted also a gas bubble, a week later the retina detached for unknown reason, I went again for surgery (2nd) time with him, this time he inserted oil for two weeks, I went through surgery again to remove to oil and to have a gas bubble inserted again, he asked me to see him in 4 weeks, at the third week I could see nothing I called this office to ask him if this was normal, but I was told by his assistance that they don't have a spot available knowing that this was an emergency, that he was not in office, she (the assistance) will call me next day (Friday) she did call me, and told me that Dr. has left a message for me, to go the my Cataract Dr. or to ER at NY Presbyterian Hospital knowing about the corona virus, need

If I could rate this any less, I would. I have never seen a more disrespectful, ill-mannered, unprofessional individual. He would ask questions and wouldn’t allow me to finish speaking. When I provided information about my symptoms and conditions, he told me it was wrong. He proceeded to apply gel on eyelid for testing then told me to wipe my eyelid without giving me a tissue. He asked you don’t have a tissue? Then aggressively stuffed a tissue in my hand. This individual has no manners and does not know how to handle or speak to patients. Do not understand how he is in practice. I am NEVER going back nor do I recommend to anyone!!!

I'm very pleased with the treatment I receive from Dr. Edward Stroh. As a person who suffers from diabetic retinopathy, I see the doctor on a regular basis. My visits usually begin with testing by his assistants followed by a comprehensive exam from the doctor. Afterwards, we review my condition and discuss my treatment going forward. Dr. Stroh takes the time to answer my questions and I never feel rushed. His staff members are courteous and professional. I'm usually seen at my scheduled time

I went in for a diabetic eye exam which I specified when I made the appointment. After waiting over an hour past my appointment time, he saw me for about a minute, has one of his staff do a test on me, & then was advised I would have to come back for another appointment to do the rest of the test. I begrudgingly went for second appointment & had the same thing happen again! In addition to wasting my time, he was charging me co-pay for each visit!
