Phenomenal!
Being relatively new to the Topeka area, I was recommended to Dr. Baum by my primary care physician for a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. His nursing staff was incredible! They were attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and calming. I had both procedures done at the same time and was very nervous. Dr. Baum came in to relieve my anxiety and allow me to ask any questions I had before the procedures. He was knowledgeable, personable, and professional. None of us ever likes going to an internist because it may indicate that there’s something amiss with our health. But Dr. Baum and his staff are the kind of professionals we all hope to find when looking for someone to assist us with our healthcare issues. So, if you’re looking for a gastroenterologist with exemplary professionalism, expertise,, and phenomenal staff, this is the practice you should seriously consider. You’ll not be disappointed.

I went to see Dr. Baum after Dr. Challa's staff refused to make an appointment when I was having severe digestive issues. During the appointment I asked several questions regarding my condition which Dr. Baum just laughed at me and refused to consider. It was later diagnosed by another doctor that I was, in fact, right and verified my condition!

Awesome doc. I went to the ER and he was on call. He came and did a procedure and was fantastic. Can’t imagine he is the dr the other guy with the bad review was talking about. He was super nice and one of the local nurses had nothing but good things to say about him.

Dr Baum was Knowledgeable, Personable, and On time. The front office is a bit out o whack and took quite a while to schedule me and my procedure. Dr. Baum seemed to listen and explained what he felt was going to be the best road to getting me better. It seems a bit much to wait 3 months for a colonoscopy though.

I’m not sure if Dr. Baum was having a rough day, or if he is just naturally a pompous, merciless excuse for a human being. His patient was of so little concern to him, that she lay near comatose and essentially starved for more than 2 days because Dr. Baum refused to perform “a simple 5 minute procedure” (his quote) on the day(s) it was initially scheduled. He then had the audacity to patronize/belittle this patient’s family members for questioning him, the shi**iest Dr. ever (pun intended).
