Good Doctor, Horrible Practice
I waited 45 minutes beyond my appointment time before being seen. After my eye exam, I waited another 45 minutes before being taken into the doctor's exam room. Then I waited another ten minutes before Dr. Song appeared. All told I spent three hours at this practice's office, most of it waiting because they chronically over book and under staff. (I discussed this with an assistant who has been with this practice eight years. She said it's been a problem there for a long, long time. Dr. Song is lovely. Very thorough. Ordered additional tests in the office because he was concerned that he didn't see anything that would explain kith issue I am having with my vision. He is attentive, seems careful and cautious, and did not immediately suggest cataract surgery as a quick fix. I hope Dr. Song changes practices, because I will never return to this one. P.S. I attended the practice at 1601 Trapelo Road, Waltham. All MEE offices may not be the same. If they are, God save them.

Awesome Doctor
Even though my visit was late, (perhaps due to the fact that I was 20min late, due to traffic) He took all the time he needed, never seemed rushed, he is very calm, answers all questions at your level and has a nice sense of humor.

Consistent and timely good care, in plain English!
Whenever I see Dr. Song I have a question or two, mostly about my self-care as regards my vision. He is always quick to respond in layperson's terms, which I appreciate. The data he collects about my eyes could easily warrant his speaking in a highly technical manner, but he never presents information in a way that I cannot understand, or worse, doesn't present his findings at all, which some specialists of his calibre tend to do. He is personable, efficient, and kind. If you are looking for such an ophthalmologist, then you should seriously seek him out.

I had two Super-K surgeries (scar removal procedures) during the summer of 2021. The outcomes were remarkable. I attribute the success of these surgeries to the skill, judgment, and expertise of Dr. Song. He is a friendly fellow and his helpful staff seems happy in their work, which I see as a reflection of his kind leadership. I'm incredibly grateful to him.
