ED
I was referred to Dr. Mishra by my OBGYN for more in-depth hormonal and metabolic testing. Getting an appointment was easy and timely. I saw Dr. Mishra's assistant, Katie, first and she took my history. I have no idea if she communicated all the important points to Dr. Mishra because when Dr. Mishra came in she did not summarize my info back to me. She spent no more than 5-10 very rushed minutes telling me the tests she was ordering and then left. As in other reviews of this practice, dealing with staff is like going into a black hole. There's no followup. There's little communication and results from testing take an inordinate length of time to be completed. After three weeks with no communication, I made an appointment. Before seeing me, Dr. Mishra had to review my results because she hadn't looked at them as yet. A number of results were flagged as "Low" and significant although she dismissed them as not clinically significant unless they were "High." Then why is the Low range even identified? She offered me no options or explanations but did provide a prescription for a medication that I requested. No answers, little time spent with me, dismissive of my concerns. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this practice.

Horrible staff
Dr. Mishra answered all my question and did all she could to be helpful. Unfortunately her staff isn't as competent. Took me a full month to get a prescription past her assistant and submitted to my pharmacy. After leaving half dozen messages I finally drove the 50 miles back to her office to speak with her medical assistant. Once the first prescription was written all was well with number two. Unfortunately on number 3 we are back on square one and pushing a month to get it done. I have little to no faith in her staff and will be talking to my cardiologist about recommending another doctor next week. Seems impossible to get decent help these days. But for her staff Dr. Mishra would have gotten 5 stars and my hearty recommendation.

They don't return calls!!
Check in ok.. check out ok. Left several voice messages regarding mom's labs n the dire need to send a script to pharmacy on file. I don't believe anyone retrieves voice-mail there. This is not a good communication point!! I left very detailed messages.. they didn't appear to be that short staffed. Lot of bickering between staff tho. May need to go to another endocrinologist.. not impressed with their service!!

They messed up my prescription and called in a prescription that was 100 mcg lower than it should have been. This completely infringed on my emotional wellbeing, my relationship with my husband and children. By the time I figured it out it had been weeks. I called on a Sunday and left a scathing message. The following day I got a call from Dr. Mishra and I could tell that she was rushing the call in order to get off the phone as fast as she could. She then went on to blame one of her employees for the mistake. Obviously it was, but there was NO accountability for HER staff, NO personal responsibility, just finger-pointing and rushing to get off the phone. DO NOT GO TO THIS WOMAN, she doesn't care about her patients, she will take anyone and over-work her employees out of sheer GREED. I hope she loses her practice, that would be a bench-mark!

I like Dr. Mishra fine; however, she is no longer seeing her patients. Your appointments are only with her PA, nice girl, but not a doctor. When I complained and stated that I wanted to see Dr. Mishra for my appointments, I was told no, she only is doing biopsies now. You have no other option but to see the PA. I now have to find a new doctor because Dr. Mishra is refusing to see her patients. Why a doctor would downgrade her skills by stating a PA is just as good as seeing her is beyond me.

First of all you only see the doctor on your first appointment. You'll never see her again. Only the nurses. Twhe office is ok and the amount of waiting time reasonable. The problem starts when you're not feeling well. They'll return your call four days later..and give you an appointment for 40 days later. So...you'll be feeling miserable at least for another month. Too much patients maybe.

As long as you allow Dr Mishra to lead you blindly, everything will be fine. But, the minute you are your own advocate, things go downhill real quick!! I have several health issues for which I see other types of specialists - neurologist, cardiologist, pulmonologist, etc. My pulmonologist suspected I have an enlarged thyroid that is pressing on my trachea and suggested I get it checked - that's all I needed from this dr. But, because I wouldn't completely shift gears on my thyroid meds, she

My first appointment was with her. She was great. But over time I stared to see PA instead of her. That didn't bother me until she started changing PAs every few months. As someone with a chronic condition, I would like to see the same person. I asked to make an appointment directly with Dr. Mishra and I was told that wasn't possible. I had to make it with a PA and then if they had questions they could ask her. I was also consistently asked to reschedule my appointments.

I believe Dr. Mishra is a capable and knowledgeable doctor. However I have only seen her twice during the five years that I have been going there (every 3 months) - usually see the PA or RN, which I understand is common practice in large offices. Have had many issues with waiting on lab results, incorrect medications or dosages being prescribed, and overall communication between the PA/RN/provider, their medical assistant (that returns all calls and dispenses lab results), and patient.

Dr. Mishra has an "arrangement" with a third party lab, CBLPATH. The first level of tests is covered insurance, but the second level, over $4000, was denied by my insurance twice. The lab billed me $300 (my normal copay for labs is $19), and they are saying they can do it because Dr. Mishra has a tiny comment buried in her "Consent for Treatment" form which says that I will be billed if claims are denied by the insurance. What a racket.

Dr. Mishra is beyond amazing. I had Hashimoto's and Papillary Thyroid cancer. I had been to many Endo's and when I finally found her it made all the searching worth it. I now live in California and am considering traveling to Arizona just to keep her as my doctor.
