Dismissive doesn't listen very well
Went to see him about my thyroid. They found a nodule on my left lower pole, and I had prior kidney cancer. I just felt dismissed.

Stay Away from ENT & Allergy Specialists
Dr. Krol is good but his office has the worst billing practices. Just look at reviews for ENT & Allergy Specialists I went to ENT & Allergy Specialists (Edgewood KY) to see Dr. Bryan J. Krol. During the visit Dr. used a nasal endoscopy device for a few minutes. I did not realize that that will be a separate charge. I was not warned by the doctor or his staff. There is a $330 charge for a device used for few minutes that is not much different than the use of a stethoscope for a patient. I called the billing department of ENT & Allergy Specialists and they told me that I signed a document accepting such additional charges. Yes, I signed paper work. Am I a doctor, how would I know what these procedures are on those papers. I should have been verbally warned by the doctor or his staff that this is a separate procedure to be billed. In addition $330 is too much of a high price for a simple short procedure. The doctor's office said that I have not choice other than paying and no way of red

I felt like I was at a car dealership
Dr. Krol is a hearing aid salesman. I had concerns about a history of tinnitus, Menierre’s syndrome and a malfunctioning eustachia tube when I attended an appointment with him. I had told his assistant that I have a hearing aid and that I was there specifically to address my tinnitus and eustacian tube concerns. When Dr. Krol came into the room, he examined my ears and immediately sent me to a hearing test specialist. He gave me no opportunity to discuss my concerns. When I got back from the hearing test, he told me that I had a hearing loss, which I already knew, and said he wanted me to have an MRI. I told him that I had previously had an MRI and he responded that he wanted to see if there was any growths on my auditory nerves since the older test. He said that if there were no changes that he would fit me with hearing aids! Never once did he address my concerns. He appeared to be in a hurry. He may be good with the N and T, but the E in ENT seems to bore him.

Dr. Krol is one of the best doctors I have ever had! He has helped me in ways no other doctor was able to and I've seen a bunch! He has come up with creative solutions to solve my breathing and snoring problems with 2 innovative surgeries. His efforts have changed my life forever and I would highly recommend his services for any and all ENT needs! He's the best in the area!

Time in the waiting room was good, as I was the only one. The surgery dept. seemed to be full. When taken back to dr. office wait time was around 20 min. When the dr. came in to check my ears he asked what ear did I have the tube put in, I thought he would know that. The tube he placed in, I understood would last longer than the normal tube. Upon checking out the tube he said it was out. Then we went to another room so he could extract the tube. I said I thought this tube was supposed to last longer than a normal tube. He stated sometimes they don't. He said that the ear drum was healed and no fluid behind the ear drum, at this time. In my chart he stated he checked my nose which was not done at this apt. Even though this apt. was a follow up my vitals were never checked, is this a normal procedure?

Dr. Krol is an excellent, caring doctor. He removed my parathyroid. He takes the time to explain everything that is involved with the procedure and the process from beginning to end. He is very professional and I would recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Krol is a very kind and compassionate doctor. Many doctors lack the ability to make the patient feel at ease and communicate effectively. Dr. Krol is different and it is apparent when you meet him. Individuals who have achieved the level of intellectual ability of a medical doctor are not always gifted in bed-side manner etiquette. Dr. Krol seems to have all the attributes that make for a great doctor. I highly recommend his services.

If I could leave a negative star I would. Appointment was at 2, after over an hour still haven’t seen the doctor. His assistant needs to realize this isn’t the hood. She is rude, for someone in the medical profession you would think they would know how to conduct themselves.

My kids had constant ear infections and kept us awake in pain at night. Dr. Krol placed ear tubes for 2 of them. Immediately after tubes, they were fine and had no more infections. My oldest daughter had less infections and Dr. Krol did not recommend tubes for her, and she eventually grew out of the problem. I highly recommend him and his staff. The surgery center where the tubes were placed was filled with experienced older nurses who were the BEST!
