I saw Dr Zender for a second opinion (he was not aware of that). I was referred to ENT following an abnormal ultrasound of my thyroid. The initial ENT totally dismissed me and said I did not even need a one year follow up. My family doctor was not happy with that plan and requested that I see a physician at UC ENT. I'm so glad that I did! Dr. Zender has such a caring and patient bedside manner. He did an ultrasound in the office and was concerned enough to do a biopsy that same day. He took me seriously and I will always be thankful for that! While I do not know the results of the biopsy yet, I trust this doctor and I'm so thankful that I found him!

I think the world of Dr. Zender because he is a competent man of his word. He told me what to expect during the successful surgery he performed on my throat and he was spot on. I was expecting the worst and was terrified when I met him because at the time I was suffering from post traumatic stress disorder after a failed knee replacement and a knee replacement revision that caused permanent injury and changed my life and personality. I had lost faith in modern medicine, but Dr. Zender, restored that for me. I am a new person. I can trust again! I have only good things to say about Dr. Zender and his team. His nurses are also wonderful. I have been singing his praises since my surgery and am very grateful to have a surgeon of his caliber here in Cincinnati.

Dr. Zender was wonderful! He takes the time to explain everything, answers your questions, and is truly an expert in his field! I had a thyroidectomy and had no pain or voice issues (neck muscle and incision soreness only). He was very calming and reassuring and assessed me pre and post surgery.

Doctor Zender was great, but I had an 11:40 am appointment and I first saw him at 1:00. Also his nurse was extremely rude. If it weren't for those two things, this would be a 5 star rating.

He makes patients feel at home, encourages them, assures them of excellent recovery and has the ability to listen and answer questions. His team is punctual and have excellent communication and public relations and takes good post-operation care of patients. He removed a tumor from my larynx in 2015 October and a review done six moths later. Am enjoying perfect health now and delighted to be his patient and am testimony to his skillful hands. God bless him and the team as they save more lives.
