Dr. Anita Liu, MD

I had to change doctors after mine of 30 years retired. I was assigned a new physician in the same practice and have nothing good to say about the experience. I learned of Dr. Anita Liu and went to see her, not because I had anything wrong, but I didn't want to search for a new doctor when I was already ill. She was great! Her mannerism, kindness and professionalism was perfect.

She has been my doctor since 1999. Always listens to my concerns. If I need help, she tries to get me in quickly, which is happening today.

Was not able to see Dr. Liu since it appears HMO patients have zero priority. Despite being in the ER over the weekend because of a car accident and was specifically instructed to follow up with my PCP, she would only make an exception to see me if I paid $250 for the visit. Per her receptionist, the Dr will not see patients involved in car accidents unless they pay cash. Interesting enough, my husband and son had no issues following up with their PCPs and using their insurance. No regard for patients well being.

Maybe she was having a bad day, but Dr. Liu performed the most minimal yearly exam (8 mins). She didn't give me any time for questions or explanations. Add to that, the front desk decided to charge an extra fee UPFRONT because they, "knew extra questions will come up during the exam," which are not covered by the yearly exam fee. I rarely utilize healthcare services, but when I do, I hope that my physician is thorough and caring. This experience was anything BUT thorough and caring.
