Brilliant and exceptional surgeon
Doc Pawale performed an open heart surgery for my dad. He did a mitral and tricuspid valve repair plus maze. He isn’t just a brilliant doctor but he is very compassionate with his patients and he is very dedicated with his work! He is so hands on and thorough. There wasn’t a day that he didn’t see my dad for the 28 days that we have stayed in the hospital. He saved my dad despite how damaged his heart was. We are forever grateful of him! If he is your surgeon you’re in good hands!!

Can you imagine two in the same family being cared for by an exceptional surgeon? Well that was my case. Dr. Pawale saved my life and my husband's. His commitment to patient care is paramount; his knowledge of current surgical trends came with patient understanding. We observed his interactions with staff, friendly and a team player indeed. He stepped into our lives so many times. Whether it was a daily visit in person to discuss progress, even after his heavy surgical workload, or to talk with family via phone and in person to provide updates, or to draw pictures and diagrams to help us understand the workings of the heart -- Dr. Pawale was with us, he made sure our health needs were his priority. Even after post-hospitalization, Dr. Pawale was still with us -- he ensured a seamless transition back into the world to include home health care experiences, cardiac rehab and our connection with an outstanding cardiologist and team. We feel Dr. Pawale is just the best, the absolute best!

Dr Pawale repaired the aortic aneurysm I had. He, as well as the entire Northwestern team, are extraordinary. He displays calm, confidence, and professionalism that is second to none. He is obviously a great teacher as he explained every step of the procedure before, then explained my particular procedure after. I whole heartedly recommend Dr Pawale to anyone.

I recently received a new heart under the care of Dr Pawale. Not only is he a highly skilled surgeon, he genuinely cares about the physical and emotional well being of his patients. He is a truly exceptional surgeon and an even better human being. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been under his care and would reccomend him without hesitation.
