A compassionate, knowledgeable physician
He has been my surgeon since August of 2019, and my husband;s since April,2019. There is not a more knowledgable physician, a more compassionate doctor, and patience with his patients, than Dr, Reidy, I would and have trusted him with my life, and, in addition, have sent him referrals because I have never had a doctor as he is when it comes to his patients.

Extremely professional surgeon meshed with excellent bedside skill! Performed surgery on me following a diagnosis of Lung Cancer of Right Lung. Respected highly by his colleagues! Dr Reidy is all heart and is empathetic and no foolish promises! He is realistic and ready to get the surgery completed without delay. I experienced total confidence in this man as a surgeon, as well as his humanistic approach! I would have no hesitation to refer him to another person with similar diagnoses without any question of his surgical ability. Referred by one of his colleagues who I felt had no qualms regarding his skill set. I felt a connection with having my surgery and my body in his hands!

Dr Reidy performed a TAVR on me on 12/3/19 and it was really a great experience !!! His constituents at St Luke’s in STL we’re absolutely 110% top of the line. It took me approximately four and a half months to prep for this procedure and Dr Reidy and Dr Rinder were super. NO STONES LEFT UNTURNED !!! Dr Reidy was right on with all of his prep for the TAVR. I would share his name and credentials with anyone in need of cardiovascular care. What a crew this was !!! Thank you Drs Reidy and Rinder and everyone involved in my procedure at St Luke’s !!!!! Boyd “Ace” Anglim ps: I was never in his office so I can’t give any information on a visit there.

I was taken by ambulance to the ER with classic heart attack symptoms. No prior history of heart problems. Doctors in the ER at St Luke’s Hospital are great. The did the necessary treatments and tests, called my primary Dr and she worked with them to get a cardiologist and Cardiac Surgeon, Dr Reidy lined up to treat me. Both are great. I was admitted to the hospital and they did additional tests then jointly concluded I needed bypass surgery the next morning. Dr Reidy explained that he would be doing the surgery with my heart beating. Not every surgeon can do this but Dr Reidy has done many. I felt totally confident in Dr Reidy to do my surgery. Nurses and other Doctors told me I had one of the best! Following my surgery he was in the ICU often to check on his patients. I hope never to need a quadruple bypass again but if I did, Dr Reidy would be my choice again. And, I highly recommend him for anyone needing heart surgery.

A cardiac cath. showed up several blockages. In addition I had a failing aortic valve that was not critical, but would require replacement in a couple of years. In consultation with my non-surgical cardiologist I decided to have the by-passes and the valve replaced at the same time. My situation was complicated by a Long-standing a-fib and kidney condition aggravated by the dyes used in the cath. procedure. A nephrologist was brought in to deal with the kidney issues. Dr. Ready headed the team and the surgery was scheduled for one week later. The results were spectacular! The surgery went flawlessly. Dr. Ready was continuously accessible, meticulous in his explanations, and detailed when presenting options or choices. I can think of no area of his service on which I could recommend improvement. He is a gifted surgeon, and a warm communicative doctor. I wold have no problem using him again or recommending him to others!
