I was in so much pain
I have gone a long time with pain and fibroids. Someone mentioned Dr. Ecker and said she was good. I have been on pain meds 10mg for awhile waiting on surgery. So my appointment was finally made, my surgery was made, and I had the procedure done. The surgery was a same day go home the of surgery, but not for me. My pain was so severe, I was admitted to the hospital for two days. This first day was horrible, they had staff that did not know much, I sat in pain for hours while they figured it out. They kept giving me 5mg when I needed 10mg. Finally they started to give me 10 mg and more in between. It was the worst pain I have ever experienced. I feel I was better before the surgery. I'm wishing I never had it. I'm in postop from my surgery and barely can receive good care. I'm sitting here in the worst pain writing this, and it doesn't end here, I will be reaching out to the news for more help, and awareness for other patients.

I saw Dr. Ecker on November 30 for endometriosis which she states as a specialty of hers. My appointment was at 12:55 and I did not get out of that office till 2:53 and only saw the physician for total of 20 minutes. The entire appointment she not only ignored everything I was saying, but try to gaslight me into believing that I have IBS. I have a confirmed medical diagnosis of endometriosis have had three endometrial surgeries and a hysterectomy. She spent the entire time telling me that my pain was because my neuropathy was messed up due to my constant pain. She also told me that my endometriosis symptoms weren’t Endo that they were IBS and that I needed to see a GI specialist. when I told her that I was tested for IBS before I received my endometriosis diagnosis her responses was “Well it’s been sometime so things could’ve changed”… that’s not how either of those diseases work. She also told me that if she were to do surgery, she might not find a she also told me that if she were to do surgery, she might not find an endometriosis because it can spontaneously disappear (that is not some thing that is physically possible with endometriosis it actually gets worse and deeply infiltrates it does not just disappear on its own). Someone who specializes in endometriosis, should know the signs and symptoms of endometriosis. She is dangerous. She does not care about her patients , and she does not listen. Dr. Ecker should not be allowed to interact with any patients. Stay away from this horrible monster

Placates without addressing true concerns
I saw Dr. Ecker after a miscarriage because my cycle had not resumed and I was still having pregnancy symptoms. I was concerned about a number of complications and requested a pregnancy test and ultrasound to see what was going on. She refused, only placated me with general stats about how rare complications are and ordered no tests other tests. I was made to feel I was overreacting. A month later, when I continued to be irregular, I found another Dr at OHSU who ordered the tests I requested, plus additional tests, and discovered I had a large growth in my uterus, which was removed 2 days later (RPOC). Dr. Ecker destroyed my trust and made me second guess my own view of health.
