Dr. Adina Smarandache, MD

My Mom was under her “care” for two years. You would be hard pressed to find a more disinterested physician in San Diego. Never even looked up from her computer screen and never bothered to make a connection. This doctor is clearly looking for the next path in medicine that removes patient and families.

I have been a patient of Dr Smarandache now for years. She listens intently and offers advice as well as asks many questions. I always feel that she cares about me and stays informed on my health. She has continued to support my desire to maintain health and therefore has given me many referrals when I desire to have my own health check ups .

Dr. Smarandache is great! I never feel rushed, she listens and gets it. She's very thorough and has helped me a lot. You won't find a better doctor in her field.

I have had over 23 years physicians. From all different specialties. Dr. Smarandache has surpassed my expectations. Thank you for all your support and extremely hard work.

Being a life long vegetarian/vegan, I came to her to do my annual blood work. She is very opinionated about what's considered a healthy diet. She told me I needed to eat butter and meat. I have hereditary dry skin, and she concluded immediately that I needed to eat animal fat, all these without even asking about my family history. I asked to get my annual mammogram and fibroids checked out, never heard back from her on that. I'm not going back to her.

Comes across as minimizing your problem. When asked for a referral for an MRI and an orthopedist for my serious back pain during an office visit she appeared to be resentful of the request. She did, however, submit the 2 referrals to the insurance company. The MRI shows severe spinal stenosis in 3 areas along with moderate in 2 vertebrae. She does not seem to be taking the pain very seriously. I just requested a referral for the pain management department and have also put in to change my PCP
