A Blessing
My wife and I are so very thankful that we had an appointment with Dr. Adam Luchey for her bladder cancer. Took his time to explain everything. Was detailed. Made sure we understoon what was happening. Even called us the day before the surgery. Not a wonderful doctor, but a wonderful person.

I thought I was having a reoccurring UTI. Turns out it was a kidney stone that I had for years i went to uniontown hospital for it they put a stent in took it out several days later, never checked to see if it was gone. It was in there all these years. I told my Dr I thought I was having a reocurring UTI she had me get sonogram and sent me to wvu urology. They sent me to Dr.Adam Luchey. He found out I had a large abscess on my kidney. It adhered to my colon. Had to drain abscess. Put in a stent did Lazer lithotripsy. Tried to save my kidney but it was so badly infected from that large kidney stone., Dr Luchey had to removed the kidney. I'm so thankful to Dr Luchey. He is such a wonderful caring kind Dr. He treated me like a family member. I never met a Dr like him. I would recommend him to anyone and I have told so many people. Thank you thank you thank you Dr Luchey for saving my life.

My Prostate Story
I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer by the docs at CAMC. I was going to have my surgery locally but then my PCP recommended I see Dr. Luchey in Morgantown at WVU's campus. He was wonderful, caring, and attentive throughout. I am glad I had my surgery with him! His residents are also just as good, they have a great teacher!!

Kidney Cancer
He took out my kidney with the robot. The case finished about 4 and Dr. Luchey checked on me that night and then 6 am the next day. Called me the night before surgery to see if I had any concerns which meant a lot. I slept much better. A true class act!

Cured my of my cancer
I first met Dr. Luchey when I was referred to him for a lesion seen on an MRI. He worked my condition up, underwent the bx (painless), and then talked to me about my treatment options. I could have went anywhere (Pitt, Cleveland, CAMC), but glad I chose Dr. Luchey! If you ever find yourself in the difficult position of being dx with prostate cancer, Dr. Luchey is who you need to see!

Simply the best!!
Dr. Luchey just removed my prostate and I am cancer free and dry! Even more impressive is how he treated me and my partner's (and all of our questions) throughout the entire process. I am sure he could practice anywhere but WVU should be thankful he chose Morgantown!

I met Dr. Luchey after I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. He took his time with the initial visit. He answered all of my questions as well as my wife's. I was very impressed with his bedside manner and all the review I read about him were true. I had a second opinion at UPMC but will be cancelling it to have my surgery with Dr. Luchey.

I had a ton of surgeries when I was a child. Then 40 years later when I needed my bladder out, all surgeons said it was to difficult for them and referred me to the Cancer Center in Morgantown. Dr. Luchey has seen me through it all, right there the entire way. There is absolutely no one I trust more than him. If you're looking for a surgeon, you can not possibly do any better.

I went into the hospital at Huntington with abdominal pain and they said I had a kidney the size of a watermelon! I wanted to go to Columbus but they strongly recommended I see Dr. Adam in Morgantown. The best experience I could ever have hoped for. Myself and my family were very scared and he helped us navigate and was there with us the entire time. What a wonderful doc!

My local urologist worked me up for blood in my urine in Charleston. During that work up, I was found to have a large renal mass with cancer extending into my inferior veno cava (sp?) almost up my heart. They recommended I go to WVU and see Dr. Luchey. Dr. Luchey got me in quickly to his clinic and scheduled me for the OR that week. The surgery was a few weeks ago and I made a full recovery. Dr. Luchey lived up to the hype and then some! Lucky I found him and he saved my life!!

Honest, caring, trustworthy, talented, gifted. So much more could be said for Dr. Luchey than this review would allow for. He cared for my sister from diagnosis of metastatic kidney cancer, to treatment, to surgery, through further chemotherapy. He was there the entire time. He would always take the time to answer questions, no matter the hour. All the caregivers, nurses, physicians, physical therapists, cleaning, cooks, when I told them Dr. Luchey was her doctor they all said he was the best and we are lucky to have him!

I never though I would be diagnosed with cancer at 25, let alone testicular cancer. I have been seeing Dr. Luchey for 3 years and he removed my testicle, was there when I received my chemotherapy, and then removed lymph nodes from my abdomen. Going on 3 years and no signs of cancer recurrence. A tremendous doctor and friend I have at WVU and couldn't be more happy. I am glad there are people like him that go into medicine.
