Biography: Henry L. Weiner, M.D., FACC, obtained abachelor's degreein biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated magna cum laude. He holds an M.D. from Yale University. His internship and residency were at Temple University, and his fellowship at Duke University. He is board-certified in cardiology and internal medicine, and in clinical cardiac electrophysiology.Dr. Weiner is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is certified for special competence in cardiac pacing by the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology. His sub-specialties are electrophysiology, cardiac pacemakers and cardiac catheterization.

Biography: Jhapat Thapa, MD received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Nepal. He completed his internal medicine residency at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse NY and his cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology fellowship at Christiana Care Health Services in affiliation with Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Thapa previously served as Medical Officer at Ministry of Health and Population Nepal in Dhangadi, Nepal and as Medical Director at Nyaya Health/Possible Health in Achham, Nepal. Biography: Erin Fender, MD, MS, FACC, specializes in cardiology and interventional cardiology at ChristianaCare. Dr. Fender earned her medical degree at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine residency at Oregon Health & Science University, and fellowships in cardiology and interventional and structural cardiology at Mayo Clinic. Biography: Audrey A. Sernyak, M.D., CPE, FACCDr. Sernyak is a cardiologist and program director of the Cardiovascular Fellowship program at Christiana Care Health System. Dr. Sernyak joined Christiana Care most recently from St. Francis Healthcare, where she was director of the Cardiovascular Service Line and an interventional cardiologist. She has 16 years of previous patient experience performing peripheral and coronary interventions at cardiology practices and as an investigator for clinical research trials. Dr. Sernyak is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.Dr. Sernyak earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and completed an internal medicine residency and fellowship in cardiovascular disease at University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School. Biography: Ronald L. Lewis, Jr., D.O., FACC, received hisbachelor's degreein biology at Allentown College of St. Francis De Sales, and his D.O. from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. His internship was completed at Springfield Hospital, Springfield, Pa., and his residency in internal medicine was done at the Metropolitan Hospital Springfield Division, where he also served as chief resident.Dr. Lewis completed his fellowship at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick,N.J., and is board-certified in internal medicine/cardiology.Dr. Lewis has received numerous awards and is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists, the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Angiology.

Biography: Dr. Wimmer is a cardiologist at ChristianaCare. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Wimmer is an honors graduate of Brown University with a bachelor's degree in public policy and biology. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. After achieving his master of science in epidemiology from Harvard University School of Public Health, Dr. Wimmer completed fellowships in peripheral vascular and cardiac structural intervention, interventional cardiology, and cardiovascular disease at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Wimmer served research fellowships with Brigham and Women's Hospital division of Cardiovascular Medicine, the Sarnoff Endowment for Cardiovascular Science at Penn, and Howard Hughes Medical Foundation at Brown University. Biography: Avinash Chandra, M.D. earned his medical degree at Osmania Medical College at the NTR University of Health Sciences in Hyderabad, India in 2001. Dr. Chandra completed training in Internal medicine, neurology and cardiology in the United Kingdom before moving the United States. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Chandra has a broad training and experience in non-invasive cardiology, advanced heart failure, nuclear cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation. He has achieved level III training in echocardiography and has special clinical interest in using novel imaging methods such as 3D echo.
