Failed tendon repair
I had surgery in June of 2023 to repair a severed tendon in my finger. Two weeks after the surgery, the doctor removed the bandages and stitches, and sent me immediately next-door to an occupational therapist with national rehab hospital (NRH), where I was fitted for a brace. Unfortunately, it was not done properly, as was told to me by another occupational therapist who corrected the problem three days later. The palm of my hand was secured, but not the fingers. I was very diligent in the rehab process and went to 20 therapy sessions over a 2 1/2 months. The joint that was repaired, was never able to bend, and I believe it was because my fingers were not secured properly during the initial three days. I won't go back to med store orthopedics, or NRH.
