Biography: Dr. Lebwohl is a graduate of Harvard College, where he majored in music. He received his MD from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2003, and then completed his internship, residency, and chief residency in internal medicine at Columbia. He stayed at Columbia as a fellow in Digestive and Liver Disease, during which time he obtained a Master's in Patient Oriented Research from the Department of Biostatistics at the Mailman School of Public Health. He was a post-doctoral fellow in a National Cancer Institute-funded Training Program in Cancer-Related Population Sciences under the mentorship of Alfred Neugut. He joined the faculty of the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University in 2010. Dr. Lebwohl is a past president of the Society for the Study of Celiac Disease, and is the Director of Clinical Research at the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University, where he collaborates with investigators in the United States and abroad in epidemiology, patterns of care, natural history, and therapeutics. Dr. Lebwohl's second and related research interest is quality of endoscopy, including improving the detection of colorectal adenomas. He has co-authored more than 300 peer-reviewed publications. His research is supported by the National Institutes of Health, and past research funding includes the American Gastroenterological Association, the Celiac Disease Foundation, and the American Scandinavian Foundation. Dr. Lebwohl is the Louis and Gloria Flanzer Scholar at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He serves as Chair of the Gastrointestinal Drugs Advisory Committee of the United States Food and Drug Administration. He is heavily involved in medical education and lectures regularly to trainees on topics including celiac disease, evidence-based medicine, clinical decision making, pseudoscience, diarrhea, the Beethoven string quartets, and colorectal cancer screening.

Biography: Dr. Oscar Lebwohl is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Medical School. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. This was followed by a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and a fellowship in Liver Diseases at Mount Sinai. Dr. Lebwohl returned to Columbia in 1978 and has remained on the faculty since then in the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. He is currently the Richard and Rakia Hatch Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and Vice Chairman of Development in the Department of Medicine at Columbia. Dr. Lebwohl specializes in Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. In addition to his clinical practice he is actively involved in teaching and training Columbia medical students, residents and fellows. In 2010 he received the Ewig Clinical Scholar Award for outstanding teaching in the Department of Medicine. In 2013 Dr. Lebwohl received the Alfred Markowitz Service Award at the annual dinner of the Society of Practitioners at Columbia University Medical Center for outstanding service to the medical center. Dr. Lebwohl has been listed annually in the Castle Connolly list of America's top doctors and New York top doctors. He has also been listed in New York Magazine's list of best doctors.

Biography: Dr. Visrodia is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Digestive Diseases at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is an Interventional Endoscopist who specializes in the endoscopic management of pancreas, bile duct, gallbladder and gastrointestinal disorders. He has a particular interest in the endoscopic removal of pre-cancerous and cancerous lesions throughout the gastrointestinal tract using endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). He is trained in several other advanced therapies, including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and fine needle aspiration/biopsy, balloon enteroscopy, cholangioscopy, radiofrequency ablation (e.g., Barrett's esophagus), stent placement, stricture dilation, and endoscopic suturing. Dr. Visrodia is originally from Los Angeles, CA and graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. He stayed on to receive his M.D. from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California with Dean's Honors, and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He pursued an additional year of specialty training in Interventional Endoscopy at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He was on faculty at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, prior to returning to Columbia University. Dr. Visrodia is an active member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO). He has published research and review articles, book chapters, editorials and delivered presentations on the endoscopic management of pre-cancerous and cancerous conditions (e.g., Barrett's esophagus) as well as improving the safety of endoscopy.

Dr Krishnareddy is actively recruiting for participation in clinical trials for management of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Dr. Krishnareddy is collaborating with the Department of Immunology and Microbiology in the study of the microbiome and the effect on disease pathogenesis in celiac disease and inflammatory bowel disease. She is also the studying the role of the microbiome in immune development and regulation.
