For the first time in too many years of living with anxiety about my condition, Dr Paneros has a plan in place for me. I am so thankful i found this wonderful doctor who is an expert in his field and a caring human being as well.

Incredible Surgeon, Great team. George is funny.
I had 3 failed procedures with another skilled Doctor and ended up in pain severe enough to require 5 months of hydromorphone. What another highly skilled Dr. could not do was done by him and his team & the incredible Dr. Cho in one attempt. I did not need to get 1/3 of my organ removed or increase my chance of diabetes. He replaced the initial metal stent with a synthetic one (who wants to go around setting off theft alarms at Burlington Coat Factory.) This morning I woke up in pain but able to lift both my arms into the air and stretched for the first time in almost half a year. I highly recommend you go to Dr. Poneros from the very beginning to avoid medication issues or a need to taper. I may be been under-prescribed due to my medication history but I'll take five or six days of discomfort/considerable pain over losing a third of my pancreas. Pain passes, diabetes doesn't. Don't expect him to prescribe medications that other doctors don't even warn you are dangerous.

You’ll never find a GI doctor better than Dr Poneros. He’s the complete package: smart, compassionate and honest. He has performed numerous endoscopes on me and diagnosed my pancreatic cancer at its earliest stage. Without him I wouldn’t be here today. Thanks Dr Poneros, Dr Schrope and Dr Manji. I love you guys.

He is the best! He saved my life! I had pancreatitis real bad, almost died. Can’t say enough good thing about him. It’s been five years now, I am doing great. Can’t drink alcohol anymore, but I am alive and very active.

I recently had an endoscopy with ultrasound by Poneros. The following evening, I was rushed to the emergency room with excruciating abdominal pain. Poneros, in the ONLY phone call he made to me in the ensuing three weeks, was to tell me the pain wasn't being caused by pancreatitis -- "impossible", he said. An hour later, it was diagnosed as acute pancreatitis and I remained hospitalized for three days and recovering for another 2.5 weeks. Dr. Poneros NEVER checked on or contacted me. BAD!
