Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Andrew Parker was drawn to orthopaedics out of a desire to help people of all ages regain lost function and return to the activities or sports they enjoy. After earning a BS in Biology and Chemistry from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Dr. Parker returned to his hometown and graduated magna cum laude from medical school at the University of Louisville. He then moved to Chicago where he completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Northwestern University. Dr. Parker concluded his formal medical education by completing a fellowship in sports medicine at the Baylor Sports Medicine Institute in Houston, Texas. Fascinated by the technical aspects of his specialty, Dr. Parker likes the challenges of the ever-changing field of orthopaedics. He especially enjoys the doctor-patient relationships that he has developed because he feels most orthopaedic patients are ``motivated and proactive about their recovery.`` As an active and respected participant in many professional medical organizations, Dr. Parker has delivered numerous presentations and educational seminars at orthopaedic conferences around the country. Dr. David Lee specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery. He chose orthopedic surgery because, by studying and mastering the incredible complex anatomy of the musculoskeletal system, he could help people return to their normal form and function. His goal as an orthopedist is to get patients back to doing the activities they love and to help them live pain-free. We have many treatments options to offer patients, including therapy, injections, and surgery, if needed. Most of all, Dr. Lee looks forward to forming meaningful relationships with his patients, answering their questions, and involving them in shared decision making. In his free time, Dr. Lee enjoys traveling with his wife, hiking, running, and cycling.

Finding great satisfaction in watching someone recover from an injury and return to living, Dr. David Novak chose the field of orthopaedic surgery because he wanted to have a direct impact on the quality of life of his patients. After earning a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Novak received his medical degree from Georgetown University where he was named a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the National Medical Honor Society. He remained in Washington, DC, at Georgetown University Medical Center to complete a residency in orthopaedic surgery. He then completed advanced fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Van Nuys, California. Dr. Novak worked intensively with some of the best sports and arthroscopic surgeons in the country during his fellowship training and today is able to perform advanced arthroscopic techniques for a number of orthopaedic problems. His special interests include sports medicine and sports injuries, complex problems of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic shoulder stabilization for loose or dislocating shoulder, ACL and ligament reconstruction, meniscus repair, and cartilage restoration of the knee, and adult joint reconstruction.

Dr. Bharara joins Virginia Spine Institute's comprehensive and interventional pain management team with multifaceted experience treating musculoskeletal patients, performing electro- diagnostic procedures, and administering peripheral and spinal injections. His philosophy promotes the practice of innovative and safe interventional pain management techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of pain and related disorders. With this, he also exemplifies a compassionate approach with his patients to alleviate pain, restore maximum function and improve quality of life.

Dr Andrew Neviaser is a nationally recognized expert in shoulder and elbow surgery. He treats all conditions of the shoulder and elbow including rotator cuff problems, arthritis, dislocations and stiffness of the shoulder and elbow. In his free time, he likes to spend time with his four children, all of whom are active in sports.
