Biography: Dr. Melissa Katz has been at NYPH Weill Medical College since 1992 when she began her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the joint program with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Prior to that she completed an internal medicine residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. She graduated from SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and obtained her bachelor's degree from Yale University. Upon completing her fellowship in 1995, Dr. Katz continued her research on male and female reproductive disorders which was published in the New England Journal of Medicine among other distinguished publications.

Biography: Dr. Baker is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Attending Endocrinologist at Cornell Medical College in New York. He is a graduate of Emory University College and Medical School. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at New York University and a fellowship in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Baker, who himself has type 1 diabetes, has interests which include disease management through education and lifestyle interventions, prevention of type 1 diabetes, and the impact of diabetes on international health. Biography: Dr. So-Young Kim currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine and Attending Endocrinologist at the Weill Cornell Medical College. Biography: Dr. Pamela Freda is Associate Professor of Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University. Dr. Freda received her undergraduate training at Harvard College and her medical training at the College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed three years of house staff training on the Medical Service at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and her Fellowship in Endocrinology at Columbia, College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Freda has been the Clinical Director of the Neuroendocrine Unit of Columbia University since 2000. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine as well as a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at the Columbia University Medical Center. Biography: Dr. Ausiello is instructor in Medicine at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University. He received his undergraduate training at Harvard College and his medical training at Harvard Medical School. He completed three years of house staff training (internship, residency) on the Medical Service at Massachusetts General Hospital followed by a year as a Research Fellow at College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University. He completed three years of fellowship training in Endocrinology and Metabolic Disorders at College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University. During his fellowship his research focused on growth hormone deficiency. He received an Endocrine Fellows Foundation award to investigate the potential differences between growth hormone and IGF-1 in subjects with growth hormone deficiency. Dr. Ausiello co-authored a chapter in a neurosurgery text book focusing on the pre-operative endocrine management of patients having pituitary surgery. He also co-authored a paper on the post-operative management of patients who have undergone pituitary surgery. He currently holds a general endocrine practice within the Endocrine Division at Columbia University Medical Center with a focus on metabolic bone disease, thyroid and neuroendocrine diseases. He is the primary attending on the in-patient neurosurgical service where he works closely with the fellows caring for patients who have undergone surgery by our neurosurgeon Dr. Jeffrey Bruce. In addition, two afternoons a month he precepts the endocrine fellows in the general endocrine and thyroid clinics. Dr. Ausiello also attends at NewYork-Presbyterian/The Allan Hospital as a private consult for the vascular service with a primary focus on in-patient diabetes management.

Biography: Dr. Wardlaw is Professor of Medicine and the Robert C. and Veronica Atkins Professor of Obesity Research at the College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Wardlaw is Director of the Neuroendocrine Unit at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She is an active member of the Columbia University Diabetes and Endocrinology Research Center, the Institute of Human Nutrition and the New York Obesity Research Center. She has served on several NIH Study Sections and has been an appointed member of the Endocrinology Study Section and of the Integrative Physiology of Obesity and Diabetes Study Section. She has served on the editorial boards of Neuroendocrinology and the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism and was also Associate Editor of the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles in the fields of neuroendocrinology and obesity. She participates in the teaching of medial students, residents and fellows and is Director of the Endocrinology Clinic. A major interest has been in career development and she has served on numerous Departmental, CUMC and University committees involved with faculty development and promotions. Biography: Ethel S. Siris, MD, is the Madeline C. Stabile Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Department of Medicine, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, and the Director of the Toni Stabile Osteoporosis Center of the Columbia University Medical Center, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, all in New York, New York. She is a graduate of Radcliffe College, Harvard University, and received her medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. An endocrinologist, she works as a clinician, as a clinical investigator and as a medical educator, all in the area of metabolic bone diseases, including osteoporosis and Paget's disease of bone. In her career she has participated in research activities with bisphosphonates, selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMS) and RANKL inhibitors. Dr. Siris served as the Medical Director of NORA, the National Osteoporosis Risk Assessment, a public health initiative and longitudinal study of osteoporosis that included over 200,000 postmenopausal women in the US. Most recently her research activity has focused both on risk factors for osteoporosis and treatment adherence with osteoporosis medications. Dr. Siris is the immediate past president of the National Osteoporosis Foundation and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of both the National Osteoporosis Foundation in the US and the International Osteoporosis Foundation. He received his Medical Degree as well as completed both his Residency and Fellowship in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. Dr. Wu, originally practicing at Queens Hospital center returns to NY from his prior position out of Hershey, Pennsylvania. He is currently practicing at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group-Westchester located at 77 Pondfield Road (Lower Level) Bronxville, NY 10708.
