In 1994, he was fortunate to work with Dr. Irwin Goldstein, one of the original investigators for a little blue pill that eventually was called Viagra®. Dr. Shaw enjoys teaching as well, and actively gives lectures around Austin and throughout Texas on all aspects of urology. He has also been a guest on ABC, NBC, and CBS to discuss urologic issues with the Austin community. Between all that, he had a chance to write a book used by thousands of young residents, ``How to Find The Right Job After Residency``. Dr. Shaw loves learning, and actively participates in local, regional, and international conferences to stay on the leading edge of his field. Dr. Shaw is board certified by the American Board of Urology, and is an active part of several major medical societies.
