Biography: Dr. Zibari graduated from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences with his medical degree. His General Surgery internship and residency were obtained at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Dr. Zibari then pursued his interest in abdominal solid organ transplantation through a fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where he also served as an instructor of surgery. He was recruited by the Department of Surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport in 1993 to teach and work under his mentor, Dr. John C. McDonald, who was the founder of organ transplantation in this region. Dr. Zibari was a tenured Professor, Vice Chairman for the Department of Surgery for Academic Affairs, the Chief of the Division of Transplantation, and the Malcom Chair in Transplantation. He is currently the Director of John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center as well as the Advanced Surgery Center, both located at Willis-Knighton Medical Center. He has authored and co-authored more than 125 articles in scholarly medical publications as well as reviewed the work of others. Also, he has co-authored and served as a co-editor of the textbook "Surgical Oncology: A Practical and Comprehensive Approach". He has spoken or presented papers at a variety of medical conferences throughout the world and has forged links with medical professionals in his homeland of Kurdistan, Iraq especially at the University of Duhok. Dr. Zibari continues to participate in humanitarian medical outreach in Kurdistan, Vietnam, Egypt, Nicaragua, and Honduras. Dr. Zibari is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of numerous organizations including the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, the American Society of Transplant Physicians, the Society of University Surgeons, the Southern Surgical Association, the American Heptao-Panreato-Biliary Association, the American Medical Association, and the John C. McDonald Surgical Society. Additionally, Dr. Zibari has served as president of Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA), Louisiana Surgical Association, American College of Surgeons – Louisiana Chapter, American Foundation for Donation and Transplantation, and John C. McDonald Surgical Society. Presently he serves as president-elect of the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association and as an American College of Surgeons Governor representing the state of Louisiana. He was elected as one of the best interns and residents by his peers at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport four consecutive years. Dr. Zibari was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. Also, he was awarded and honored with the Ellis Island Medal in May of 2007. He was recently honored by the Louisiana State Medical Society with its 2014 Community Service Award.

Biography: David Thomas Price, MD, is a board-certified urologist (American Board of Urology) at Willis Knighton Urologic Oncology Pierremont in Shreveport, Louisiana. He earned a medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine where he graduated Alpha Omega Alpha, a distinction reserved for those in the top 10% of medical graduates. Dr. Price found his specialty during his general surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center, where he also completed his urology and urological oncology fellowships. He was an American Foundation of Urological Disease Research Scholar at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Price finds satisfaction helping patients with genitourinary cancer and helping them recover from their surgical procedures. Called to help people with cancer at a very young age, Dr. Price provides surgical care for patients with benign and malignant diseases of the urinary system. He was an early adopter of robotic surgery and helped establish the first robotic surgery program in Shreveport in 2003. He has more than 28 years experience performing complex urologic cancer procedures and he has more than 20 years experience performing complex robotic surgical procedures. In addition to urologic cancer, Dr. Price provides treatment for general urology problems, including BPH and kidney stones. Recognizing the considerable stress caused by complex issues his patients face, Dr. Price likes guiding patients to the best healthcare decision for their situation so they can add more life to their years. Dr. Price enjoys developing long-term relationships and becoming friends with his patients, humbled when they put their life in his hands for surgery. Outside the operating room, Dr. Price enjoys spending time at his Texas farm building things from wood or metal, planting food plots for deer and gardening. He especially enjoys time with his grandsons, letting them help with farm projects that involve running heavy equipment like dozers, excavators and skid steer. His wife, Tina, is a urology nurse practitioner who joins him in the clinic and in surgery. They have two sons and daughters-in-law and two grandsons.

Biography: Tiffany Anthony, MD, Surgical Director of Liver Transplantation, is a Multi-Organ Transplant Surgeon who specializes in liver, kidney, and kidney-pancreas transplantation. Dr. Anthony started her career as a transplant surgeon in Dallas-Ft. Worth in 2008 at the Methodist Dallas Transplant Institute. She has served as the Director of the Living Donor Kidney Transplant and Robotic Kidney Donor Program at the Baylor Simmons Transplant Institute, and was a member of the landmark uterine transplant clinical trial. Dr. Anthony has served as the Medical Director of Southwest Transplant Alliance, and is the current President of the Texas Transplantation Society, working to improve the lives of transplant patients throughout the region. Dr. Anthony received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she also completed her general surgery residency. She then completed her research fellowship at the Yale University School of Medicine in Newhaven, Connecticut, and transplant surgery fellowship at the University of Chicago, in Chicago, Illinois.When not working, Dr. Anthony enjoys traveling the world, and has been a physician participant in several medical missions.
