Care Philosophy: As an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine, I provide complete care of shoulder, hip and knee conditions. Over the past 20 years, I have cared for athletes at all levels high school, collegiate and professional. I have also spent many hours on the sidelines providing medical coverage. My favorite conditions to treat are hip arthritis using a minimally invasive direct anterior approach to hip replacement, ACL and meniscus injuries, arthritis of the knee and rotator cuff tears. My goal is to eliminate pain and restore function to allow my patients to live their lives to the fullest.

Care Philosophy: I joined HealthPartners in 2012 following a sports medicine fellowship at Wake Forest University and an orthopedic residency at the University of Minnesota. My special interests include shoulder, knee, and hip arthroscopy. I enjoy basketball and was the Slam Dunk Champion at Princeton University in 2000 while an undergraduate. I live in St. Paul with my wife and seven children.

Care Philosophy: I treat patients with hip and knee pain, most commonly from arthritis, deformities, dysplasia and prior injuries or trauma. I perform primary and revision hip and knee replacements, including partial and total joint replacements. I particularly enjoy seeing a patient's life transformed almost immediately as they begin their recovery after surgery.

Biography: As a family medicine doctor for over three decades, I am passionate about the promotion of people's well-being and being able to care for whole families and patients of all ages. I take pride in being a good listener and compassionate, nonjudgmental doctor. In addition to family medicine, I have particular interests in sports and geriatric medicine.
