Biography: Dr. Moritz graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, and earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. After completing a residency in orthopedic surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University, he moved to New Orleans where he completed a fellowship in sports medicine and reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. During his time in New Orleans, he was an assistant team physician for the NFL New Orleans Saints and the NBA New Orleans Hornets. In addition to his surgical practice he is part of the Willis-Knighton Sports Medicine team. Prior to joining Bossier Orthopedics, he was part of The Bone & Joint Clinic, practicing with Dr. William S. Bundrick Sr..

Biography: R. Shane Barton, MD, MBA, MPH, MS, FAAOS, FAOA, FACS, returns to the Willis Knighton Physician Network and The Orthopaedic Clinic to continue his practice in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. He will serve as executive medical director of Willis Knighton Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation. Dr. Bartons clinical expertise ranges from nonoperative sports medicine to complex operative reconstruction of the shoulder, elbow and knee, and in addressing medical issues of athletes. A native of East Texas, he graduated as a Presidential Endowed Scholar from Texas A&M University, working as a computer engineer with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. At NASA, he was awarded multiple research honors for his work in robotic vision and image processing. He then attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, graduating with honors as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He went on to Harvard Medical School-Massachusetts General Hospital, where he finished his fellowship training in shoulder and sports medicine in 2005, serving as the assistant team physician for the New England Patriots. While there, he served as a graduate clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School. In addition, Dr. Barton earned a Master of Public Health degree at LSU Health/LSU Shreveport and completed an MBA and Master of Science in Healthcare Management and Leadership at University of Texas at Dallas and UT Southwestern Medical School. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, with additional board certification in sports medicine. Dr. Barton has served patients in the Ark-La-Tex since 2005. He maintains an academic appointment as Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at LSU Health Shreveport where he was previously Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. Through the years, he has served as team physician for many regional sports clubs and schools. Dr. Barton is also a commissioned reserve deputy with the Caddo Parish Sheriffs Office, and a tactical medical director for Caddo Parish Sheriffs Office and for the Louisiana State Police SWAT team. He is the holder of several medical device patents. He has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, co-authored a book, written book chapters, and presented nationally and internationally. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Barton finds great joy in his personal life with his wife, Tammy, and his two children, Ethan (Olivia) and Ella Grace.

Biography: Dr. Balogh was born in Romania and received his medical education there before immigrating to the United States. In addition to his European medical training in anesthesia and critical care, he interned and was an Internal Medicine resident at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Balogh practiced in Many, Louisiana before joining Willis-Knighton Health System. He is married. He and his wife, Annie, have one daughter. She is currently an anesthesiologist at Cornell University. Dr. Balogh enjoys flower gardening, travel and watching sports, especially soccer.

Biography: Dr. Ton graduated from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. She took her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport. Dr. Ton is certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Ton also practices at the Willis-Knighton Claiborne Regional Health Clinic.

Biography: Dr. Lim received his undergraduate degree at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines and continued his education receiving his medical degree at Santo Tomas. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens in Jamaica, New York. Dr. Lim is certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He and his wife, Diana Lim, work together at Bossier Internal Medicine Diagnostic & Treatment Center. The couple have four children and enjoy music and travelling.

Biography: Dr. Sanjaykumar Shah, MD is a Family Practitioner who practices in Bossier City, LA. He is 62 years old and has been practicing for 38 years. Dr. Sanjaykumar Shah, MD is affiliated with Willis Knighton Bossier Health Center.

Biography: Dr. Robert Smith was born in Springhill and grew up in Bossier City, attending public schools and graduating from Airline High School. After graduation he majored in Biology at LSU where he also played offensive lineman as part of the 2007 National Championship team. He was accepted into medical school at LSU School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 2012. After completing a family medicine residency at the University of Texas Northeast in Tyler he and his family decided to move back home to Louisiana.When he is not taking care of his patients, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his family. Outdoor activities are a big part of his life, whether on the water or in the woods, playing football, exercising, or grilling.

Biography: Dr. Jason Milligan grew up in Bossier City and is fulfilling a dream of practicing medicine in his hometown. After graduating from Parkway High School, he obtained his Bachelor's Degree from The Louisiana Scholars' College at Northwestern State University. After he earned his M.D. from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, he also completed residency there and had the honor of serving as chief resident in the Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Milligan chose the specialty of Family Medicine because of his love of getting to know and treat families across generations. While he is skilled in all aspects of family medicine, Dr. Milligan particularly enjoys adolescent medicine, preventative medicine, women's health, and takes a keen interest in diagnosing and treating common skin conditions.
