Biography: Dr. Tjoumakaris is board certified in orthopaedic surgery with a subspecialty certification in sports medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Biography: Dr. Salvo is double board certified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and specializes in knee ligament (ACL) reconstructions, shoulder instability, rotator cuff repairs, and hip arthroscopy. As Director of the Hip Arthroscopy program at Rothman Institute, Dr. Salvo serves as one of the region’s leaders in hip arthroscopy, particularly in athletes. He is an assistant team physician for the Philadelphia Flyers and a consultant for the Philadelphia Phillies. He is an active member of several subspecialty societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy.

Biography: Dr. Winters is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon that specializes in all areas of foot & ankle surgery, with an emphasis on total ankle replacement, ligament and tendon repair/reconstruction, sports related injuries, minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques, deformity correction and reconstructive surgery related to cartilage injury, avascular necrosis, arthritis, neurologic conditions, trauma, and acute lower extremity fracture care. After receiving his bachelor's degree at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, where he pitched for the Scarlet Knights nationally ranked varsity baseball team and graduated with Honors, he stayed in New Brunswick to complete two years of dedicated research at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He later went on to complete his medical education there and was inducted in to the Alpha Omega Alpha-National Medical and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. He subsequently completed his orthopaedic surgery residency and orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Winters has received multiple awards for his academic excellence, clinical achievement, and leadership. He is an associate professor of orthopaedic surgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and is very active in research, which has resulted in numerous publications and book chapters.

Biography: Kevin McHale, M.D., is a graduate of Jefferson Medical College where he received his medical degree. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and his Clinical Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital. He previously served as Assistant Team Physician for the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. Dr. McHale is the recipient of the Jefferson Medical College Edward P. Beach Scholarship for academic merit, institutional commitment and community service. He is also the recipient of the Jefferson Medical College Lavine Scholarship awarded to select medical students performing clinical research. Dr. McHale grew up in Cape May County and attended Ocean City High School.

Care Philosophy: My Practice Philosophy: I treat every patient with courtesy, kindness and compassion. I personally see and examine each patient during every outpatient visit. I discuss the diagnosis and treatment options and do my best to guide patients in choosing the treatments best suited to their individual needs and preferences. My patients leave their outpatient appointments feeling well-informed and involved in the decision- making process regarding their treatment. I attempt to treat all my patients by non-surgical methods initially, and only recommend surgery when this becomes the best option. Whenever surgery does become necessary, I always do my best to operate with great care and thoroughness. I constantly update my skills and keep abreast of current advances in Orthopaedics by extensive reading, online learning and by attending courses.
