Biography: Richard A. Friedman, M.D. actively involved in clinical research of Mood Disorders. In particular, he is involved in several ongoing randomized clinical trials of both approved and investigational drugs for the treatment of major Depression, Chronic depression, and Dysthymia.Dr. Friedman is a contributing Op-Ed writer at the New York Times where he writes on mental health, addiction, human behavior, and neuroscience.Dr. Friedman is currently not accepting new patients. Biography: Diana Feldman, MDdirects the Payne Whitney Geriatric Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic, which provides evaluations, consultations and treatment for adults of age 65 and older. The mission of the clinic is to address the specific psychiatric needs of older adults. The focus of the geriatric outpatient service is evaluating and treating new psychiatric problems, in particular mood disorders, psychotic disorders and dementia presenting with psychiatric symptoms. Dr. Feldman also maintains afaculty practice in General Adult Psychiatry seeing adults of all ages for consultations, psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. She earned her medical degree with honors in research from Weill Medical College of Cornell University. She completed her residency in Psychiatry and fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medicine.Dr. Feldman practices in English and Russian.

Biography: Dr. Knoepflmacher attended Columbia University, where he graduated magna cum laude. After college, he completed an MFA in Film Production at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. He embarked on a successful career in the entertainment industry as an editor specializing in the theatrical and television marketing campaigns for major studio films. After several years, Dr. Knoepflmacher left the film world to begin medical training at Oregon Health and Sciences University, in Portland, Oregon. While in medical school, he was honored as the top medical student in Psychiatry, inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and was chosen for the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award. Dr. Knoepflmacher completed his psychiatry residency at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he was selected as chief resident and presented with the American Psychiatric Association Resident Recognition Award upon graduation. Additionally, Dr. Knoepflmacher was chosen as a fellow by the Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry and completed a one-year psychoanalytic fellowship at the New York Psychoanalytic Society & Institute. Dr. Knoepflmacher brings his unique background to his work as a psychiatrist. His past pursuits in a creative field and in a high-pressure business environment inform his empathic approach to individuals struggling with personal, professional, academic, and artistic challenges. Dr. Knoepflmacher has contributed to multiple books in the field of psychiatry, co-authored a peer-reviewed publication on antipsychotic medications, and produced and edited a video used nationwide to train psychiatry residents about substance use disorders. As an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College, he supervises residents in the outpatient department, providing guidance on psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions. Dr. Knoepflmacher sees patients through his Weill Cornell Medicine faculty practice, in addition to providing evaluation and treatment through the Executive Health Program at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
