Excellent
I know Dr. Friedman when he was in elementary, middle and high school.Richard was a great genius and way ahead of others when it came to the learning curve. He dealt in concepts and facts that our teachers could not comprehend and therefore, felt intimidated by him.Richard was and is a very thorough researcher and always has command of his subject matter beyond all expectations. If you want someone who knows the real facts and not superficially, Dr. Friedman would and always will be a very good and intelligent choice for me and anyone else to get down to one’s own needs, wants and desires. I never doubted his amazing potential for success!

My psychologist referred me to Dr. Friedman to help with depression. I've seen many psychiatrists over the years and taken lots of antidepressants, so I wasn't expecting much. Dr. Friedman was extremely thorough, asking me in great detail about my previous treatments and suggested that I take lithium in addition to my antidepressants, which had a dramatic positive effect. I can't thank him enough. Great doctor and very nice person.

I was referred to Dr. Friedman by my internist for longstanding anxiety. I found him very warm, curious and he asked lots of questions about me. He helped me understand that my drinking was contributing to my anxiety, something I hadn't realized. He's a wonderful clinician and I'd strongly recommend him to friends.

I was referred to this doctor by a neurosurgeon at Weill Cornell. Dr Friedman "squuezed me" into his office hours that he usually reserves for his students, not patients. He listened to my story for less than 30 minutes. He did not diagnose me, try to diagnose me, or prescribe me any medications. He simply told me he could not take me on as a patient because his schedule was too full, and referred me elsewhere. Then, I received a bill in the mail for $600. This doctor absolutely knew ahead of time that he could not take me on as a patient. Instead, he sneakily fit me in to collect a paycheck he does not deserve. Please, please stay away from this greedy man. He is looking to fill his bank account, not help people.
