Care Philosophy: Retinal diseases are often vision threatening, which creates a lot of fear and anxiety for my patients about what lies ahead. I am committed to partnering with my patients to ensure they have all of their questions answered about their diagnosis and treatment options. Retinal diseases are complex and challenging by nature. Luckily, the field of vitreoretinal surgery has advanced dramatically with new and exciting diagnostic tools and therapies, both medically and surgically.

Biography: Parag Gokhale, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist with special medical interest in laser and surgical glaucoma care, glaucoma diagnosis, cataract surgery and general eye care. _x000D_ Dr. Gokhale emphasizes listening to his patients to understand what they wish to accomplish with their treatment. He finds it rewarding to gain his patients' trust and to assist them to maintain their independence through better vision. _x000D_ Dr. Gokhale was an assistant professor and director of the Glaucoma Service in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia from 2000 to 2006. He was named among the Best Doctors in America (2005-2006) and a Top Doctor by Seattle Metropolitan magazine in 2019. _x000D_ Away from work, Dr. Gokhale enjoys spending time with family and friends, and likes tennis, golf, swimming and bowling.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Fu is drawn to vitreoretinal surgery because of the complex disease processes, challenging medical managements, and elegant surgical procedures. She is committed to making a lasting impact in this field through innovative research, public health efforts, and educational programs.After graduating sum cum laude from University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Fu earned her medical degree with honors from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She then completed her residency in ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Following residency, Dr. Fu pursued extensive training in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Fu actively contributes to medical literature by authoring original reports, book chapters, and electronic publications and abstracts. She led the translation of the Chinese edition of Clinical Ophthalmic Oncology. Additionally, she serves on the editorial board of British Journal of Ophthalmology and is a reviewer for Ophthalmology.Dr. Fus personal interests include adventure travel and outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, sailing, and snowboarding. She is also an avid reader and enjoys history, philosophy, psychology, and fine arts. She has a keen interest in landscape and travel photography.

Biography: Dr. Myers-Powell enjoys reading, golfing and relaxing with friends.

Biography: Connie Chen, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments and retinal dystrophies. _x000D_ Dr. Chen enjoys getting to know her patients and to contribute to their quality of life through better vision. _x000D_ Dr. Chen is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retinal Specialists, and Association for Vision and Ophthalmology. _x000D_ Away from work, she enjoys figure skating, hiking and traveling.

Biography: Kaidi Wang, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who specializes in cornea and ocular surface diseases, uveitis (ocular inflammation) and cataract surgery. She believes it is a true privilege and honor to care for her patients and is excited to be part of their care team. _x000D_ Dr. Wang is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Uveitis Society, and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. _x000D_ Away from work, Dr. Wang enjoys reading, running, cooking, traveling and exploring Seattle with her husband.
