She devoted her time at the Translational Genomics Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, working alongside world-class scientists studying the complex genetics of melanoma. Dr. Curtis then completed a challenging three-year residency in dermatology at one of the most prestigious dermatology programs in the country, the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) in Dallas, Texas. While in residency, she completed research on using photodynamic therapy combined with topical chemotherapy for the treatment of actinic keratosis and sun damage. At UTSW, she trained with many of the world's most renowned dermatologists considered to be pioneers in their respective fields. Outside of work, Dr. Curtis enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading. She doubles as a master chef and gardener and is a mother to four children.

Biography: Dr. Dean joins us as a board certified dermatologist who enjoys seeing patients of all ages. She completed undergraduate and medical school training at Marshall University in West Virginia prior to her dermatology residency training at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania. In the four years that followed, she worked as a staff physician at Geisinger- seeing patients full time, training other resident physicians, and helping develop the pediatric dermatology curriculum. She moved to the area in 2024 with her family to take advantage of the wide array of outdoor activities. She particularly enjoys hiking, biking, backpacking, and snowboarding. She and her husband have a young daughter who keeps them busy in all sorts of fun ways as well.
