Care Philosophy: I became a physician for the simple reason that I wanted to do something for others and to make a difference in their lives. With disorders of the digestive tract, peoples lives are changed in a very fundamental way. These people have pain, discomfort, irregular habits, and a wide variety of symptoms that range from unpleasant and embarrassing to disruptive and debilitating. These are people who truly need help, and an improved quality of life. This is my motivation as a physician.

Care Philosophy: I believe I am a patient educator and advocate, so I present patients with up-to-date medical information and treatment options. Whenever possible, I will offer patients treatment options that incorporate lifestyle modifications, state-of-the-art endoscopic procedure options as well as prescription and nonprescription therapies. I am a lifelong learner. I am constantly evaluating new science and treatment options that will benefit my patients. During my training, I participated in advanced research at the University of Utah in colon cancer detection, treatment and high-risk syndromes. I have maintained a love for learning and new science

Care Philosophy: I consider my approach to care to be patient-centered. I believe it is important to give the patient time to tell their story in order to accurately diagnose their condition. I like to involve the patient in the treatment of their condition as I believe one treatment strategy does not fit all patients. When possible, I like to start with nutrition and lifestyle changes and only provide medications when necessary. I consider my interactions with patients caring and lighthearted. I am honest and empathetic. Ultimately, I hope to improve the health of my patients and give them knowledge about their condition and peace of mind.

Care Philosophy: My job is to help my patients maximize their gastrointestinal health so that they can flourish and live a healthy life. Through careful one-on-one discussion and appropriate use of lab testing, radiology, and endoscopy, I will try my best to find the cause of whatever is concerning my patients.
