Care Philosophy: After earning my medical degree from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, I completed my general psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City as well as a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at New York University. I am board certified in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry as well as in addiction medicine. I am looking forward to our first meeting!

Biography: Dr. Mahreen Ahmed takes her time to gather a detailed history of each patient’s symptoms, development, and family before making a diagnosis and treatment plan. Dr. Ahmed’s goal is for patients to participate in their treatment plan, feel comfortable asking questions, and be empowered with information, tools, and psychoeducation to use in real-world situations. A fun fact she wants people to know is that the human brain has enough memory to store all the information on the internet.
