Dr. Collin Vas, MD

Dr. Vas saved my life. He is kind, intelligent, and a true believer. I have been to many psychiatrists who either didn't know how to treat me, or who did further harm. If you found him, you are lucky and in the right place. He comes with my highest recommendation!

I was displeased with the lack of professionalism by Dr. Vas. This doctor was not in appointments on time, and the staff was unfriendly. Dr. Vas didn’t explain conditions well. I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Vas to my friends or family.

He is an excellent Psychiatrist. He understands the biology and takes time to understand his patients needs. I’ve seen many Psychiatrists in 18 years and he is by far one of the best in DFW.

One of the best overall physicians I’ve ever seen. He makes you feel like you’re his only patient. He is warm, friendly, and always pleasant, as well as extremely knowledgeable about conditions and medications. I can’t say enough good things.

Dr Vas does not listen to you as a patient and is very condescending. I was happy and stable on a medication regimen from my previous dr but Dr Vas insisted I start taking a new drug to eventually replace one of my current ones. He did not fully prepare me for any of the side effects, nor did he go over the titration schedule with me. When I began experiencing severe side effects he made me wait it out several more days in agony before finally taking me off the drug. Then he blamed me for not taking the correct dose. I went from being happy and stable to depressed and anxious with many other physical side effects. He is still insisting I come off the meds that have been helping me.

One of the best physicians I have ever had. Very kind and patient, listens intently, and remembers what you share with him. I have a great deal of trust in him. It takes a while to be seen in this department as a new patient but once you are an existing patient, appointments are not hard to get. Support staff are very organized.

Dr Vas is very genuine i would like to refer him as a psychiatrist if someone asked me for a referral,i never see a doctor like him spending time with patients and always very patient to hear what the patient has to say,very nice and excellent he is like a family for me.

I’ve had many different psychiatrists in my life. My experience has been that most of time if you’re not feeling better you quickly get switched to a different medication and the appointments are short. Dr. Vas definitely DOES NOT fall into that category. He genuinely wants to help his patients feel better. I’ve never felt rushed or judged. He is easy to get a hold of. I’m really glad to have him as my doctor. I highly recommend him.
