Biography: Dr. Lorenzetti is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulders and elbows. Since his mother was a family medicine physician and his father was a civil engineer, Dr. Lorenzetti studied bioengineering in college. He thinks orthopedics is a perfect combination of engineering and medicine that allows people to get back to their active lives and activities that they enjoy. He thinks it is very rewarding taking away someone's pain or restoring their range of motion so they can be back playing with their children, golfing, skiing or whatever they wish to do.Dr. Lorenzetti loves to be active and to be outdoors: he enjoys skiing and snowboarding in the winter and hiking, rock climbing, golfing, and soccer during the summer. Biography: Dr. Kim graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering and computer science. He obtained his MD degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed residency training at Temple University Hospital and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Georgetown University. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and is a Fellow in American Orthopaedic Surgeons Society. Dr. Kim treats patients with all types of orthopedic conditions but specializes in sports medicine and osteoarthritis problems. Most of his elective cases are performed via minimally invasive arthroscopic approach. He also performs total knee replacements utilizing robotic surgery. Dr. Kim provides skilled surgical care based on years of experience and thousands of surgical cases. Dr. Kim volunteers his time at local high schools taking care of athletes. He currently serves as the team physician to Battlefield High School and US Speedskating. He regularly provides lectures for certified athletic trainers of Prince William County Schools and works closely with athletic training department of George Mason University. He is actively involved in researches in sports medicine in conjunction with the George Mason University Athletic Training Department. Dr. Kim has numerous honors. Biography: Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Andrew Parker was drawn to orthopaedics out of a desire to help people of all ages regain lost function and return to the activities or sports they enjoy. After earning a BS in Biology and Chemistry from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Dr. Parker returned to his hometown and graduated magna cum laude from medical school at the University of Louisville. He then moved to Chicago where he completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Northwestern University. Dr. Parker concluded his formal medical education by completing a fellowship in sports medicine at the Baylor Sports Medicine Institute in Houston, Texas. Fascinated by the technical aspects of his specialty, Dr. Parker likes the challenges of the ever-changing field of orthopaedics. He especially enjoys the doctor-patient relationships that he has developed because he feels most orthopaedic patients are ``motivated and proactive about their recovery.`` As an active and respected participant in many professional medical organizations, Dr. Parker has delivered numerous presentations and educational seminars at orthopaedic conferences around the country. Currently, Dr. Parker serves as a team physician for the Washington Redskins. He also has significant experience in the area of sports medicine having cared for athletes from the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks, and Northwestern University.
