Dr. Rackow joined the department in 2011, after spending more than seven years at Yale University. She has developed a particular expertise in reproductive surgery including advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, management of congenital anomalies of the female reproductive tract, and the diagnosis and management of polycystic ovarian syndrome in adolescents and adults. She directs the Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Program at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian. This unique program is the first of its kind at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, and in Manhattan. Dr. Rackow enjoys teaching fellows, residents and medical students, and has received numerous awards recognizing her teaching ability. Dr. Rackow is involved with several key national organizations, serving as Vice Chair of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Committee on Coding and Nomenclature, and as Newsletter Editor for the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. Biography: Dr. Isaac Kligman is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine at the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine (CRM) at Weill Cornell Medical College. Board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, he is an internationally renowned fertility specialist.Dr Kligman provides fertility preservation services for women who want to cryopreserve (freeze) their eggs and desire to achieve a pregnancy later in their reproductive life. With the refinements in this technology such as oocyte (egg) vitrification, this procedure has become widespread and a good alternative to overcome the impact of aging on a woman's ovary. He also treats patients with a wide range of reproductive and infertility disorders. He helps patients with fertility issues become pregnant using the most sophisticated assisted reproduction techniques, including in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). He is skilled in laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, two minimally invasive surgical modalities. With laparoscopy, he treats anatomical causes of infertility such as endometriosis, pelvic scar tissue, blocked fallopian tubes and ovarian cysts. He removes polyps, fibroids and scar tissue and corrects congenital malformations such as uterine septum with hysteroscopy.Dr. Kligman joined the Center for Reproductive Medicine in 1993 for his fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility under the direction of Dr. Zev Rosenwaks, and became a full-time faculty member at CRM upon completion of his fellowship in 1995. Prior to joining CRM, he completed a research fellowship in Reproductive Biology and Endocrinology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 and his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Maryland Medical Center in 1992. Dr. Kligman completed his M.D. in 1981 and his residency in 1987 at the Unversidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia.Dr. Kligman has made countless presentations on research and treatment topics in reproductive medicine to audiences throughout the United States, Japan, Europe and South America. He has authored and co-authored numerous textbook chapters as well as dozens of articles in leading peer-reviewed medical journals. He is also a member of the Editorial Boards of Fertility and Sterility and Reproduccin Humana, the official journal of the Latin American Association of Reproductive Medicine (ALMER). Biography: Dr. Jeff Lin received his college and medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, underwent residency training at NewYork-Presybterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical College here in New York, and then completed gynecologic oncology fellowship training at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC in Pittsburgh.After training, Dr. Lin entered private practice in the Silicon Valley (even participated in an early-stage biotech start-up!). He then returned to academia at City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in Southern California, honing and expanding hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) techniques and surgical approaches, and he is now returning to Weill Cornell Medicine. Biography: Mary E. D'Alton, MD, is Chair of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and the Willard C. Rappleye Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She also serves as Director of Services at the Sloane Hospital for Women at NewYork-Presbyterian. Specializing in maternal fetal medicine, the majority of Dr. D'Alton's practice focuses on patients with high-risk pregnancies due to complex maternal or fetal conditions. At NYP/Columbia, she has implemented a multidisciplinary, coordinated approach to manage the highest risk pregnancies at the Carmen and John Thain Center for Prenatal Pediatrics, which opened in 2010, and the Mothers Center, which opened in May 2018. Her work to advance education, research, clinical practice, and policy development in women's health has won national recognition. In 2013, Dr. D'Alton was elected as a member to the National Academy of Medicine (formerly the Institute of Medicine). As co-chair of ACOG District II's Safe Motherhood Initiative, Dr. D'Alton has played a pivotal role in the effort to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity in New York State and in the national conversation about how to improve maternal health. Honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006 by the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, she has served as its president and has held key positions in several professional organizations, including the American Gynecological and Obstetrical Society (AGOS) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). The author or contributor to over 200 publications, Dr. D'Alton is co-editor of Seminars in Perinatology and has served on the editorial board of ACOG's Obstetrics and Gynecology.
