Biography: Dr. Vandana Sood is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. She is dual board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine.Dr. Sood received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and earned a medical degree from New York Medical College. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and went on to complete fellowship training in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. She has experience caring for both recreational and professional athletes, and has been a team physician for high school, collegiate and professional sports teams. She has a particular interest in running related injuries and injuries affecting female athletes.Dr. Sood's clinical practice focuses on the non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, spine disorders and acute sports injuries. Her goal is to work with patients to restore function, reduce pain, and prevent future injury. By providing personalized education and a comprehensive treatment plan including detailed physical therapy and/or an exercise plan, she promotes anactive and healthy lifestyle. She is skilled in image-guided injection techniques using both fluoroscopy and ultrasound to precisely target the spine, peripheral joints, or soft tissue (tendon, bursa, nerve, muscle). This includes specialized treatments such as hyaluronic acid or PRP injections, or nerve ablations to complement the treatment plan when appropriate.

Biography: Daniel S. O'Connor, MD, PhD is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, Co-director of the Center for CardioOncology, Cardiologist for the Aortic Program and Cardiac Intensivist at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. His areas of expertise include consultative cardiology, critical care cardiology, and non-invasive imaging. Dr. O'Connor is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology. Dr. O'Connor received his PhD studying vascular and cancer cell biology within the Department of Pharmacology at Yale University. He then received his MD degree at The State University of New York at Brooklyn Medical Center (SUNY Downstate). Dr. O'Connor was an Intern, Resident and Chief Resident at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He then completed his training as a Fellow and Chief Fellow in cardiovascular medicine at Columbia University Medical Center.

Biography: Dr. Pitaro grew up in Queens, NY, is an alumnus of Regis High School and graduated with a BS in biology from Georgetown University. He received his medical degree from SUNY- Health Science Center at Brooklyn. While in medical school, he spent time in Ghana on a Department of Preventative Medicine and Community Health scholarship . He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at NYU Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital. After medical school, he was an attending physician at the Bellevue Hospital Medical Clinic and started and ran an inpatient medical service for the clinic's hospitalized patients. Prior to joining Weill Cornell, Dr. Pitaro was a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and practiced internal medicine and primary care for over 28 years at Murray Hill Medical Group (later Caremount Medical Group). While at Murray Hill, in addition to a full time practice, he served on the executive committee and was the compliance officer. He lives in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. He is an avid squash player and soccer fan who also enjoys spending time and traveling with his family.

Biography: Christine Wu, MD received her bachelor of science in biology at Duke University and then attended medical school at Wake Forest School of Medicine.She moved on to complete her family medicine residency at Novant Health.She has a particular interest in weight management and primary care dermatology and gynecology.
