Dr. Bowers received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, in 1997. She earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2003, where she also completed residency in 2006. She was a faculty member in the Division of General and Hospital Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio from 2006 to 2019 and was promoted to Associate Professor. During her time on faculty, she had several leadership roles including Course Director for the physical examination course and Clerkship Director for the internal medicine clerkship. Dr. Bowers has received several honors including an Outstanding Faculty Award and Veritas Faculty of the Year. She also worked in an outpatient clinic caring for patients and mentoring medical students and residents. Dr. Bowers is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. She has been an active member of the Society of General Internal Medicine and Clerkship Directors of Internal Medicine. Biography: Dr. Ryan Carr is a board-certified and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in disorders of the shoulder, hip, and knee. Procedures he performs includes joint replacement, advanced arthroscopic reconstruction surgery, and fracture management. Dr. Carr received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School and completed his surgical residency in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at University of Illinois. Prior to practicing in Denver, he was team physician for both professional and high school sports teams. In 2014, Dr. Carr was awarded the Vernon L. Nickel Research Award from the Orthopedic Research Association. When he is not in the office he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and spending time with his wife and great dane.
