Biography: Claudia Maidana-Paz, M.D., F.A.C.P. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Dr. Maidana-Paz was born and raised in Argentina, where she studied medicine at Universidad del Salvado in Buenos Aires. Then, she completed five years of training at one of Buenos Aires' most prestigious hospitals, Hospital Alemn. After moving to the United States, she continued her training with an internship and internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. She also served as chief resident at Mount Sinai Medical Center's Miami Heart Institute. Dr. Maidana-Paz's journey into medicine began at a young age. I grew up in a small city, just steps away from the main hospital, where I witnessed a constant stream of patients and their families. My family would often offer small gestures of kindness water, food, or a little help with travel expenses to those waiting for their loved ones. Helping others became second nature to me from a young age," she recalls. "My love for science blossomed early, making the decision to study medicine feel not just natural, but inevitable."She chose to focus on internal medicine because it allows her to care for patients in a comprehensive way, addressing everything from preventive care to chronic disease management. Biography: Dr. Loftin received her Bachelor's Degree from The University of Texas at Austin. She obtained her medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed her residency training at The University of South Florida/Tampa General Hospital. She is Board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Loftin is a native of San Antonio and speaks Spanish fluently. She provides comprehensive care to women of all ages. She enjoys talking and listening to patients and believes that communication and patient education are important to the physician-patient relationship.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Treat believes his urology background brings a different perspective to living donor kidney transplant (most transplant surgeons, historically, were general surgeons). This allows him to bring even more expertise to his patients.
