Biography: Gary Glontz, MD, is board-certified internal medicine physician withLewisGale Physicians in Salem, Virginia. He is an attending physician at anacademic medicine clinic as part of the Internal Medicine Residency Programaffiliated with LewisGale Medical Center. In this role, Dr. Glontz supervisesresident physicians, training them to be the next generation of physicianleaders. Dr. Glontz earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburghin Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He completed internships at Cleveland MetropolitanHospital in Cleveland, Ohio and United States Army Hospital. He completed hisresidency at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where he alsocompleted a fellowship in infectious diseases. Dr. Glontz is board-certified by the AmericanBoard of Internal Medicine. He has been practicing medicine in SouthwestVirginia for more than 40 years. Biography: Madiha Kamal, MD, MBBS, FACP, is a board-certified internal medicine physician with LewisGale Physicians in Christiansburg, Virginia. She is affiliated with LewisGale Hospital Montgomery where she serves as a core faculty member for the Internal Medicine Residency program. As an attending physician of an academic medicine clinic at LewisGale Physicians, she supervises resident physicians, training them to be the next generation of physician leaders, since July 2013.Dr. Kamal earned her Doctorate of Medicine from Aga Khan University Medical College, in Karachi, Pakistan, followed by an internship and residency in internal medicine from Saint Barnabas Medical Center, in Livingston, New Jersey.She was the recipient of the Frist Humanitarian Award in 2018 by LewisGale Hospital Montgomery and has also been recognized as the Teacher of the Year 2018-2019 by the Department of Graduate Medical Education.Dr. Kamal offers primary care services specializing in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of diseases in patients 18 and older. Some of her services include annual physical exams, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic medical conditions, and sick visits, with a focus on preventative medicine and women's health.Outside of the practice, Dr. Kamal enjoys spending time with her family, baking, exercising, and reading.
