Biography: Dr. Sushil Kumar proudly founded what is now Kumar Eye Institute. In 1980, he had a vision of providing high-quality eye care to the Kentuckiana area, and as a result, he built his company from the ground up. Dr. Kumar is a board-certified ophthalmologist and has performed many cataract, glaucoma, and retina eye procedures. Currently, he focuses on being a member of the board of directors for the organization. He also spends his time being a consulting physician for the practice, helping train and instruct the clinical team for the ideal patient experience.\n\nIn pursuit of the American Dream, Dr. Kumar and his family moved to Louisville, Kentucky, where he has been providing eye care for almost 40 years. Dr. Kumar graduated from Patiala Baba Farid University of Health and Science, Government Medical College in 1968.
